I see Eli as a prime contender for a 26 supermini title too. Those kids are fucked.

Tomac and Ferrandis winning titles have definitely made the YZ450 more popular than it was. You see more at the track now then you did in 2018.

I doubt majority don't ride.

I could be wrong though... I usually am actually.

Be interesting to see if Tomac faces the same shock issues Sexton is dealing with on the KTM. Eli’s riding style will definitely put some Heat in a shock.

I think chases shock issues are more like a brain fade issue. Always got to have something to point the finger at.

I don't think you're wrong, but I do think there is also a segment of buyers who will literally buy a certain brand because they think the replica graphics kit of their favorite rider is "sick." So, in essence, they are buying that brand because of a rider/team.

This sport/hobby attracts ALLLLLL the kinds of people lol

It's not only chase that has that issue on the team.

I’d bet KTM fabbing up that ridiculous carbon cooling wing for the shock hints that there was some data that confirmed the shock was experiencing high temperatures.

The success of Eli, Deegan, Craig, Barcia, and Webb, plus Ferrandis on Yamaha keeps me in the BluCru camp.  I could be swayed to a different brand, but their successes keep me riding Blu.  Yamahas are bad ass!

Didn't AP say in post race interview he also changed shocks this past weekend and that was why he got off to slow start in the main? You guys sure this is only an issue for chase?

Barcia has publicly stated he had the same issue as Chase.

In the swapmoto kickstart podcast they’re talking about that there already is a different bike in Cortez, anyone more info?

To be fair to Star, it seemed like Tomac was going to retire back in 2023, then in 2024, and then for sure in 2025. It don't think it's fair to expect Star to keep a spot open year after year in case Tomac decides to extend it again.

I agree. Remember back at the end of the '22 season there was talk that he was uncertain about plans for '23 but he needed to ride the new bike first and then decide. And every year it's been sort of up in the air if he's retiring, SX only or full year etc. I think that puts the team in a really tough spot. So from that perspective,  I can understand.  That being said, the Yamaha just seems like the bike for Eli. I would love for him to stay, as I think he is still a threat for wins and the title. And just to be clear, I don't fault Eli for taking his future year by year, at his age. He's earned that, at this point. But I also am not surprised that at some point the team may need to move on.

If I remember right on Eli's career so far, and its been a hell of a career, He's won on all 4 Japanese brands with ease. Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha. And has pro championships on at least Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha. So to say the Yamaha fits him? Is kinda silly. He could easily continuse to be great on Yamaha, or would do the same on at least Honda or Kawi. Possibly Suzuki as well. Possibly Triumph? Who knows, but it isn't just Yami

Can someone jog my memory please, other than in mini bikes when did Eli win on a Suzuki?

I just watched that, and they also made it sound like maybe a personal deal in the works?

Also stated he seen some graphics at Eli's that he probably wasn't supposed to see over the winter!

I would imagine Eli has the kind of pull to make this work the same way Reed did.

They really beat around the bush on the Swap pod. Was he referring to Triumph with seeing graphics?

Didn't I read here or somewhere else that Triumph bluntly replied to the Tomac question by saying that "we aren't prepared for a rider like Eli Tomac"?

Then again...things change.

So someone I know, kids race supermini, who has some good friends that work for SX said Eli will likely be on a different bike for outdoors. Done deal and it is Austrian and Orange. Bikes are in Cortez

"likely" ≠ "done deal." If he goes orange that's a huge scoop for the crew in Mattighofen.

If Eli is on Star this summer, do we potentially lose him amd Chase as options for the MXdN? As they will both be sorting out new bikes.

It’s a bit of a hike from Littleton to Cortez, but some spy pics would be cool. 😎

KTM makes the most sense of the options that seem available.

Ducati is what I've heard.  I don't think it would be a good idea on any front but thats what I'm hearing.
