Nope. 2002 or 2003, most likely 2003.

in 2004 RC missed the SX series for knee surgery and then raced the CRF450 outdoors.
That's right.. It's 2003.. See the bars, That's the year he ran them really low.

We have a winner, still got my 1978 oiginal maico 440cc, wish I'd kept the 1981 Mega 2 490cc I had!
Such a geat handling all powerfull bike, can still holds it's head high against moden bikes.

If the devil raced, he'd ride a '78 Maico 490. It had an intimidating presence 30 years ago, and still looks bad-ass today.

I can see the ad now: Even Satan says "Jesus Christ, this thing is fast!".

Someone please post a picture of Buddy Antunez R&D RM80.

There was an MXA article on it a few years back that had a nice 2 page spread of it.

I liked the way these looked, not particularly fast though.

The bike your talking about was the anniversary bike they raced at Glen Helen that year. Not sure if it was the 25th or 35th

Sometimes, I'll just put my bike on the stand and sit,... and stare at it.....it's so beautiful.........(small tear forming).

I have to say the Brent Aberg TT500's were sweeeeeeeeeeet looking bikes

Does anyone remember back around 2003, 2004 or 2005 when Transworld was at the all Japan nationals and Honda had a works 4th generation aluminum framed CR250? It was an absolutely beautiful machine that never saw production because of the popularity at the time of the 4 strokes .....Transworld had pics of it but I cannot find any of them now....Swap if you read this I know you have the pics somewhere because I saw them on your site back then and would really like to see some pics of that bike.

It looked like a CRF250 but it was a CR250 .....does anyone have pictures of that bike? It was so badass, too bad Honda scrapped it......What could've been by now if Honda had kept developing their CR's....sigh

I am really hoping someone has pictures of that bike, I remember thinking when I had my 02 CR250, dam Im going to have buy this bike soon when it is released but it never happened .....regardless I liked my 02 CR250 and wish I could track down the current owner because I want it back, I was never paster than when I had that bike.....here is a pic of it before I sold it.

I have to agree, the Mugen Hondas were always one of my faves.
