chrisbuehler Started a new thread Favorite gear through the years

I was checking out some vids from '92-'93 and it brought back memories of the old AXO gear. I think my favorite gear ever was the white AXO gear from that year, not sure if Bradshaw had it '92 or '93. He def looked badass back then. I think the boots were RC-2's maybe, I dont know what it was...

I think 2009 was the last year they really went to town grooming the tracks between moto's.I remember Reedy complaining why did he train hard all week to ride smooth tracks. Since then the tracks have been knarly every year. Do they touch up a dangerous jump face or section? Sometimes but thats it. I've watched every National since then...

Have you ever seen anyone absolutely beast mile long footpeg deep ruts like Tomac? It boggles the mind. It's nothing new either. I remember when he was making a push to catch Bagget in the 250 title chase in 2012 and the series came to Unadilla. It was crazy rutted, just nasty lining the entire track and Eli was just...
Does anyone think Dunge has an advantage as far as training goes having Aldon in his corner? Um, I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say John Tomac probably steers Eli in the right direction as far as training. Eli seems like one of those self motivated individuals also. He doesnt need to get stuck with a cattle...

Absolutely. Couple years back Milsaps, on a Yamaha, beat him in a moto there when we all know Davi cant hold Dunge's jockstrap outdoors. If Washougal had been the opening round this would probably be a different story. All that said, woof! Eli is an outdoor BEAST! Always has been. People didnt exactly sleep on him but were using his...
Just one other point, I'm sorry but I'm missing this whole thing about the GP tracks being so brutal and the National tracks being overgroomed. You wanna say the GP tracks are rough I wont argue because they arent my expertise. They sure look.smoother def allot of square edge hole due to the dirt being hardpack. As far as the...
Yes just what we need another MXGP-Nationals dick measuring contest. Did we really need RV to go compete in the GP's to tell us how good their riders are? Anyone been watching the last 3 MXdN? The GP guy's are our equals and we havent even seen JH the last couple. I'm starting to drink the Koolaid with this kid...

Agreed. His starts were better indoors and I'm sure being 135lbs on a 450 should translate to them being better outdoors as well. The precision of SX as always been his weakness and he's improved drastically there. WFO outdoors on a 450? I woukdnt bet against him. Of course going up against a master of racecraft like the Dunge is...

Watching a couple of master's of throttle control like Mushy and Dungey at Washougal last yr is just about as good as it gets for me.

RV retired from SX. Is every title for the next 5yrs or so gonna have an asterisk next to it with *No RV? He's not injured, he retired. I don't remember the asterisk on the 2008, 2009, and so on yrs of titles after RC retired? So little respect for a guy about to win his 4th premier class title...
