Thats crazy they arrested him. About 20 years ago I was turning around in a parking lot of a strip mall later at night. all the stores were closed and as I turned around I felt the back end kick out of my truck. So I gassed it and spun around a few times. Then I saw police lights through the smoke that had filled the parking lot. There was a cop sitting just out of sight. He came up to me and asked me what I was doing. I told him exactly what I wrote earlier in this post. He took my lic and reg and ran it. Gave me a warning and I was on my way. I was not going very fast, and I was in a pick up truck . I found out that spot was a common spot that people got busted at. I had no idea. Guess I got really lucky , and or times have changed bigtime.
My Dad had an extended 15 pass van similar to that. straight 6. But I used to load the van up with friends and we would go drift the crap out of that van. It would spin donuts on the right asphalt . But it slid so well and controllable. My dad used to laugh and say how I was lucky he had worked some overtime so he could buy new tires again, but told me the next set would be mine to buy. He had put 2 new rear tires on 2 or 3 times over a summer before he told me to cut the shit or buy him some tires. He loved that all my buddies enjoyed ripping around in his van. I was into airbrushing back then, and I was loving to paint the style skulls that Troy lee was doing in the 90s and 2000's . I had the back doors of the van covered in the skulls.
I did end up getting a ticket for driving to endanger in it. I had outrun the cops because I turned around right before I passed them. It was a well known spot they sit .I don't know if they were sleeping and woke up as my speed showed up or how they messed up. They took off in the opposite direction. After I turned around I dropped off all my friends ,went home and was sleeping when my mom brought the cops into my room and woke me up a few hours later. They accused me of out running them and I never knew they were chasing me until they came to my house. Then I got a copy of the police report. They said me and my buddy were wearing nylon stockings on our heads( we were not) and that was when I found out they had seen my speed on radar and somehow missed me turning around just before I passed them. They assumed i had kept going by them and took off after me and called it in as a high speed pursuit. They couldn't prove it, so I got tickets for speeding, running a red light and something else's that added up to driving to endanger. Lost my lic for 4 months because of it. No jail though. Just a lot of fines and unable to drive. It cost me a raise at work, and was a pain in the ass. I will admit that I did enjoy some spirited driving back then, and I was a dumb ass that could have gotten somebody hurt. But 90% of the time it was late at night and in parking lots that were industrial and nobody around. The other 10% was late at night on roads that I preran and often we used spotters with walkie talkies to be safe. Still I know it was dumb, I never had any close calls with other vehicles though. Hardly ever any around me when I was driving silly.

For a extremely high rate of speed . Mug shot is funny. I’ve seen a ton of dead bodies from wrecks. High speed or with trucks there bodies explode. Nothing left to them like a deer hit by a truck . A blood splat and the hide is all that’s left.we don’t hv a hide so the body is gone . Google map the other day said object in rd. It was a deer hide & blood spot. Lol . My top speed pulling a tanker was 138 off the ecm where pushed to run. A convoy of trucks running 90+ is fun where all talking working together. A co b4 that 1 had ungoverned trucks faster yet 2+ inches past 120 . We only hold it there in safe areas & not for long because the steer tire is turning on the rim. . I know of a tanker driver that got a ticket for 168 mph pulling a loaded tanker in 03. . He’s probably still in jail.

Then just get creative on what u want to do . After drill rig job I jackhammered 7pm to 7am . After work Big Joe a Native American hvy wt boxer he did a couple fights on espn . A Tyson under card fight was 1 he wanted to fight Tyson but Tyson,s management said , no way. It was below zero & Windy he had a long walk across 2 rivers. Where he lived up stairs of a bar, yet quit drinking . Word was he could out drink Audre the Giant. I said get in champ I,ll give u a ride. I had a Hot pu with a LT4 Vet engine tweaked , nascar frontend, exhaust, Cowl hood. And a 1 ton trans 5 sp. I was drifting it easy to do on the salt layer on the rd. Fly ovr the east river steep bridge land , quick hard throttle to slide slam another gear . Then stab the brake while wo to hook it straight. He’s yelling nock it off or I,ll knock u out. And flys out of his seat and lands on me. Haha. It felt like a boulder from the sky.
