... is getting closer to qualifying for the main.    He was 2 spots out in 6th Saturday night, and his fastest lap of the LCQ was faster than the winner of the LCQ (Noren).

He should just run a 300 kit for the heck of it. Probably still wouldn’t matter.

his entire set up looks so good. the sinisalo mendid gear especially. mc's mazda yz250 was my dream bike growing up until reed/dv factory yzs came along. very cool to see him getting better every weekend. im going to say he puts it into a few mains this year. One of the coolest down to earth guys to talk to yesterday. Always rooting for him!

I'm always rooting for him to get it into the main. MC on the YZ250 is some of my first memories when I got into sx/mx back in 99 as a kid, so the throwback to that bike is super cool to me. Also, silver rims are sick and I miss that look.

Can’t help but think what he’d be able to accomplish on a 450.

Pretty sure Lesher has said himself that he’s no faster on a 450 around a SX track.

On a 450 he would be just another privateer.  The 2-Stroke makes him stand out and gives him the old school crowd as fans.

Dude is a legend. I look for him every weekend! The silver rims and shroud font remind me of peak Reed on a 2 stroke.  I want to see dude get it in the main

Dude it's so crazy when you're at a SX you can hear his bike cut through. It must be the difference in frequency between the 4 stroke and the 2 stroke, but you can follow him by ear around the whole track.

He rode past me in the pits at A1 and the bike sounds MEAN.

I want him to make a main more than anyone.

I follow Jared on IG, his bike always looks sweet and his helmet cams clips are great. I'm glad he's out there repping the 2stk for the fans.

Being the fastest LCQ guy on a 2 stroke is crazy. He has an insane amount of talent, us who have ridden both a 450 and a 250 2 stroke know how much of a disadvantage the bike is (although I admit it has a couple pluses, hence why I ride a YZ 250). He will make some mains, rooting for him every single round.

Crazy how competitive the 20-year-old platform YZ250 is still to this day. Maybe the greatest chassis of all time?

I've found a lot of the other 2-stroke Supercross attempts to be a sideshow, but Lesher seems very legit on that bike. I don't think a 450 would help him, he's on rails with that bike.

Bike is sweet, great rider...I'm a fan.

Yep, one of the worst was Ronnie Ford. How the hell that guy had a pro license is beyond me.

The  current YZ 250 motor came out in 1999 and still makes great power today. Has to be considered as one of the best bikes Yamaha ever built or by any manufacturer.

Anyone else think his bike doesn't sound as crisp as it should? We know the bike is modded but it just sounds soft for some reason.

Probably comes down to the starts in the LCQ, and thats where the 450”s probably have the biggest advantage IMO…. Still a joke that 250 2T is not legal in the 250 class, I know laps times are very similar but the starts would be much closer…

He was talking about switching to 4st after last year's nationals. I kinda checked out because a lot of riders do that more or less as a gimmick then hunker down on the thumpers (Mookie, Jerry Robin for ex)

Gonna resub to his channel, didn't realize he was out there this year!

My favorite graphics kit he ran was the white/red "87" YZ250....   That bike was beautiful...

Usually, I can hear when someone is running a smoker on the broadcast...I haven't noticed that.

Hope he makes a main.

It's not the bike/content....it's the "magoofan" effect.     There are some emotionally wounded/soft members who downvote everything I post.   Good, bad, funny, factual....doesn't matter.

It actually makes me giggle inside.... 😂

I agree with you....it truly is the most beautiful tribute/retro build I have ever seen.

Of course, I'm a little biased...I had an 87 YZ250

He’s runs a gay little Lectron carb now. Shit is def softer than what he had before but I guess he likes it that way and doesn’t seem like it’s holding him back.

I upvoted you just to be contrarian. (And also for the cool Sinisalo SCD pants.)

I rode a 87 YZ250 in the early 90s and thought it was a turd. Just didn't feel good on it. I loved the 87 CR250 I rode. Years and years later I restored a 88 RM250 and a 87 KX250.. they just didn't feel as good to me. I've grown to appreciate modern ergonomics.

Yep; that thing made my heart go pitter-patter with its LaPorte OW GP look - just stunning. 👍

Since they're always looking for filler material, it would be nice if someone in the TV production crew made an effort to interview him and tell his story instead of doing some of the usual, "I spoke with a friend of a friend of a friend and they said the throttle is on the right end of the bars" stories.

The 87 YZ250 may have been a turd.... I was an average rider/racer and probably wouldn't know the difference.  😂

I sure had fun on that bike though....and in the end, that's all that matters. 😎
