What’s being “in the booth” pay?

Even before all this DB, Duffy, RC drama, I often wondered what was really in it for a guy like RC. He’s missing a lot of weekends with the kids. How much could they be paying him to make it worth it after all these years of traveling and being away? Surely he’s not hurting for money right? Maybe he lost a lot in the divorce? It just doesn’t track with me why this gig is so important to him. It’s not like it’s just a natural talent. So what drives him? Trying to stay relevant?

A very recent comment was made that RC makes somewhere around $10k per show and it was speculated being double of most. I can't remember what pod I heard this on but I'm thinking it was a pretty reputable person.

Really? So he's getting paid 10 bucks for every time he butchers the English language, provides zero analysis and gives the wrong take?

I know apples to oranges,

Brady signed a 10-year contract with Fox worth a whopping $375 million to become the network's lead color analyst for NFL games, alongside play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt. The figure was first reported in 2023 by the New York Post.

Haha. Every time RC speaks all I can think is home school/no school. You would think a basic requirement for an announcer on a major network would be  basic grammar skills.

Some of the most intelligent and successful people in my life never went to college....one never even finished grade school.

Nothing wrong with home schooling done right.    Not a freaking chance I'd send my kids to a public school today....

Some of the dumbest M'effers I've come across are college educated.

Id be interested to see how the breakdown of pay goes for the broadcast team. I doubt JT, Will, Brayton, and AC are pulling great money but they are on TV. Streaming has been a paycut for most actors vs when it was all broadcast tv, SX may have followed suit. Wonder what Leigh vs Weege's quotes are.

The only business more cut throat than racing is show business.

He is not doing it for the money.....it feeds his narcissistic needs because he is still called the GOAT and gets to prance around as "the man".  Nobody gives a damn "who he is" staying home with his kids.

Is that the girl ? If so I heard it’s a multi base salary.  Which includes .05 per character - letter that posted on here . About her irritating voice.  The biggest  Question is how much does Dave’s Lee the voice of SX get paid ?  My voice a Wayy better Sexier  & Hotter.  Ohh Yeah .  Too many women would b rioting trying to bust in . To b like the others when they here my voice uncontrollably running there hands all over there bodies with there head leaned back. Throwing there bras & panties onto the track . But the Lame camera crew fails to capture the action. Ricky would say oh no it Looks like Rokzen has a few panties stuck in his front wheel , oh noo poor Kenny.  He was so consistent this yr until the thousands of panties showered the track .

RC is the worst of the worst at commentating.   More than once, 'making lemonade from lemons'.   What the hell does that mean? Get him out!
Bring back Art Eckman, he has more life in him.
