2025 Husq 300TC.My first new bike. I haven't rode in 15 years but when I did it was all 2 stroke 250, 380 or 500.
$9799 is MSRP. I got it for $9329 otd, no tax.2.9% financing for 60 months. I did up for the 2 year warranty which was $850. We spoke with the warranty VP and he was fine with me doing the top end rebuilds as long as I use KTM parts, have receipts, take pic and do them reasonably close to the service manual recommendations.
I'm gonna gear it apart and grease up all the bearings first. What I've noticed. I was concerned the shorter Husq compared to the KTM would be awkward. I'm 6'7" so a tall seat isn't an issue. Surprisingly it felt right. Suspension is stiff (new)but I have 5.8 spring on the way for my weight (275lb). Rear brake footpeg is pretty small. Will see with gear on.
Stock exhaust sounds pretty dang good but I'll mod eventually anyways.
Shop mechanic said ECM mods are no worries in regards to warranty coverage. Just swap out before I bring it in.
Brap Wrap ER SEND graphics otw. Gotta go. I got a manual to read!!
Great bike, enjoy man!
Congrats!! New bike days are great. Had a few in my day. My first one was at 15 yrs old. Still remember it 50+ years later. Enjoy.
Sweet bike!
But, wtf a warranty? Never in my life heard someone buying a warranty on a dirt bike…
The Austrian 300s are literally the best thing since sliced bread. Woods, desert, moto, sand, there isnt a better all around bike. Its the crescent wrench of motorcycles.

Nice bike! Enjoy it!
I know but it was $15 a month. They fix everything zero out of pocket except , tires and brake pads. Seems like a good deal. There are quite a few posts of grenadine motors electrical etc. It seemed worth it. Dirt bike or not, it's 10k.
Congrats dude…..there’s nothing like new bike day. Enjoy it!
Nice one my man, enjoy.
You sir have spoke with your wallet…or at least with that 2.9% rate. Good job.
Nice bike, congratulations! My first new bike was a '98 YZ250. After always riding beat up secondhand bikes, I stripped it right down when I got it just for the buzz of not finding a hidden/bodged broken bit, unlike all the other bikes I got home after buying them lol.
DUDE! Congrats!! Curious how you’ll like it! Those are lowered 10mm and you are above average size you will probably shred that thing in turns! Should be like a bicycle for you!! Awesome job welcome back
Nice purchase!
Congrats!
Nice, Palmers is a few minutes down the road from me.
Top Gun MX is about 15 minutes up the road and during the summer they do Wednesday evening practice FYI.
Congrats on the bike!
I just sold my Husky and have a brand new, never sat on tall GUTS seat I plan to sell if you are interested. 1 inch taller and in the proper blue color. It's a complete seat.
I have a 23 KTM300. I'm 6'2" and wear a 13 boot. I never felt like I could get the brake and shifter at the right height. It was either too high or too low. So it was never entirely comfortable. I bought pegs that were 10mm back and 10mm down and it's now perfect. Sounds dumb but a great comfort upgrade for me.
Same here at 6'3". The footpegs make the most/best difference to me. Also run a taller guts seat foam, but not the super tall one. Renthal 994 bars in the most forward position too. You're going to love the bike, congrats. Oh yeah, footpegs from Carapaks, stainless not ti, but less than $150
Pit Row
I like the footpegs but are you saying different footpegs or some that are lowered etc?
Right now I'm gonna leave the seat alone as it feels good. Alot more grip than I was expecting from an OEM seatcover.
the bike looks small in front of you 😳
Stock pegs feel good at first but get rounded off pretty quick. Peg offset is personal, ride the stock for few hours and make a decision.
+1 for carapaks pegs
Congrats, and sweeet bike! I'm not as tall as you but definitely above average. I'd love to hear your opinion on the Husky, I will be in the market for a 350 in the near future but have steered away from the Husky with the lowered linkage.
Smokers forever!!
Nice.
The difference is only 10mm. I doubt you can tell the difference unless you sat on a KTM just before that. At 6'7", I'm way above average and I was surprised that it didn't feel shorter but again, it's a 10mm difference. Some pro riders reviewed it and they all preferred it, even the taller riders. Ill know in a couple weeks. My Race Teck 6.8kg spring just was delivered. OEM is 4.3kg so that will make the difference too.
NICE. JOB. DUDE.
Keeping the 2-strokes alive!
Looks like it's resting on the ground.
If you're going to make claims that you picked it up, atleast post a photo with you holding it.
I agree, 10mm is almost nothing but it was enough to make me think, "orange bike better". Springs are absolutely mandatory for us bigger guys. I also prefer a fork spring conversion, however I have not tried the newest generation air fork. I love the blue frame and white plastics. I hope you get hundreds of hours of safe trouble free riding out of her 🍻. That warranty sounds pretty great too.
$158/mo for 5 years. Not bad
Cripes that's heck of an 'up' on the rear spring rate.
Just checking my calculator, that would be the spring rate for a tall, 340lb rider.
Now, your a Big B**tard, but don't look to be a Fat B**tard ( ah hem, like me). Just how much do you weigh?
If you have to use that heavy a spring, I'd say you might end up playing with the valving. Both ends, as you'll be going fairly high with the air pressure on the front, I would think.
Anyway, have fun on your new bike, and, welcome back to riding - you picked a great bike to come back to it all !
Race Tech shows that spring for a rider at 275lb(rider weight), over 40, C rider, tall. Slaves actually shows a heavier spring. After install, it felt pretty good but I still have to set the sag and break in ride should loosen it at tad. Front is 175psi but I put it at 165psi for now. It's pretty stiff but one way to find out.
