Eh probably a couple months ago when KTM went insolvent
Chase Sexton SX 2023 would like to have a word with you…and he turned out champion that year to be fair…
Idk about yall but this has to be one of the most edge of my seat, crazy, exciting, ups and downs Supercross season ever.
Haven’t had one race where I’m just relaxed falling asleep on the couch.
i used to HATE webb a few years ago, but seriously how can you not like the guy? his riding style, his craft, his head games, attitude, the list could go on. he has slowly become my favorite over the years. hell of a night.

Chase never looks at the pit board anyway. The only person to blame here is Chase. It’s a pattern.
It’s the stern finger wag from Feld that stings, really hits him in the feels.
Cant blame it on the pit board. At the end of the day sexton knew webb had a bad first race. These guys figure this stuff out before the race. He woulda been told if webb is out front all you need is a second to win it. Thats why the pit board just said calm, because they both knew he only needed second. Sexton wanted to go for the win to try to take away some of coops momentum going into next race and it bit him.
At the level sexton is at he should be able to mentally compartmentalize risk vs reward. He can settle for second and easily win the overall or he can take a huge risk and try to force it and pass coop who was flying and try to win the race. He chose wrong as he has so many times before. A guy like dungey won tons of championships by settling for second or third. Part of being a champion is making those decisions that dont feel good now but will give you the best shot at winning. Chase still has a lot to learn. He better learn quick because its not always going to be a completely decimated field. If he cant do it now how will he when jett is back? He needs to do some real reflection and decide he needs to change and look at the bigger picture starting right now.
Math isn’t hard? Tell that to big brain Jett 😂
I disagree, if the rider does see the pit board, it does have an impact, that’s the whole idea.
But at the end of the day, the overall responsibility does fall on Sexton, he made the mistakes….again.
Jett is from the land of upside down so math is backwards on US soil….
Chase really reminds me of tomacs early days on a 450 til he finally broke the mental aspect of it.
Chase said before the race and I paraphrase:
This is only race 7 of a 17 races series
He’s right
The worst part about this is it indicates chase has no actual confidence in himself right now. He made a conscious choice to go after a position that could not benefit him in any way because he felt he needed to give himself some kind of mental boost or stick it to webb. It wasn't a split second lapse of judgment. It was a choice that you do not make if you believe you've got this over the long haul.
Well we count in tens not in 8ths and 16ths so…..
Chase accidentally pop the bike outta gear and stalled it on the line next to Webb when the camera was on him, dunno if anyone else caught that. Chase being Chase before the gate even dropped.
Good eye. I’ll rewatch it and look for that.
Tonight was a good example of the mental side of this sport. It’s tough in every way.
So does webb now have a first place trophy for both 250 and 450 class Arlington 2025?
Not everyone that got hurt that was ahead of chase in points in 2023 has gotten hurt in 2025. Chase was 3rd in points behind CW2 and ET3 until coop crashed out and with 2 rounds left ET3 tore his achilles. Chase tucked the front a lot that year and crashed out of the lead.
Pit Row
He has mentioned before that he doesn't read his pit board.
Watch the Press conference, Sexton said he was well aware he had the overall and could of settled for 2nd. But he just wanted to win.
"We can work with speed!"
That's the equivalent of a football team throwing a Hail Mary on the final play instead of kneeling down to win the game
Nothing to gain and everything to lose. So stupid
Remember when Miami (hurricanes) ran a play instead of kneeling it and ended up fumbling 😂 yea it's like that

I saw what I needed to see. No overall, no championship.
In the end it was a 8 point swing in championship for Chase and Webb?
His Mika Hakkinen moment.
Excite bike is the best Avarar yet next to Maverick.
