Webb is historically strong at the end of races and Ken the opposite. Webb did a great job of keeping the gap down to less than 2 seconds in the first half of the race and then his instincts kicked in.

Give Kenny his 20 points that Hand robbed him and he's got the red place by a decent margin. Closed the points gap from 18 to 16 today. Choking his way closer to the red plate

Kenny rode great....Chase had more of a choke which unfortunately he makes a habit of.!

Kenny didn’t choke. Webb was all over him and the better rider. Still Kenny is in it and his best season in years. If it wasn’t for his mistake attempting to pass those lappers in a sketchy part of the track, he’d have the red plate.
After Kenny had a taste of that red plate, you could tell that the “just try my best” mindset wasn’t satisfying. But after Tampa, he seems to just be okay again with “running his own race” and “taking what the race gives me.” I wish he would get aggressive and go on the offensive more! He’s more talented than them all but he is trying to convince himself that Webb being in his head is okay. I don’t get that! Fight like you belong Kenny!!

Agreed. Roczen was up front for most of the race until Webb got him. That ain't anything near choking. Getting 2nd in a 450 SX makes you one of the best in the world.
On the contrary, I'd like to put the OP on a factory 450 and watch him choke his way around that SX track. He will be on the mule heading for the Asterisk semi before he has completed a lap.
