You can never count the guy out for a possible win! One of the few guys who knows how to use his head as much as he uses his throttle hand.
So what if he’s not the fastest? He’s fast enough when it counts. Shows instincts very few if any have and cool as a cucumber under pressure.
This was classic Webb.
And that smug look on the podium !!!
Better update the webb wagon

Webb made Roczen his bitch yet again. Unreal!
Said a few weeks ago this feels like a Webb year. Headed that way.
The annoying thing is people will say it's only bc the others got hurt
Hard disagree from me on that. Webb never gets the asterisk talk, in my opinion. Nothing like Dungey gets and he was faster than Webb. If he wins this title, he'll be beating Chase, who has world class speed. He'll win it because he was the best racer that year, like he's done twice before
Everybody was yelling that Sexton yet again will have a championship gifted to him, but Coop is the man now…..? 😁
+250 for a cooper win. Solid night pal 👌
Stating Webb isn't fast is the most retarded statement ever.
He's consistently the fastest person to rack up points to win a title and he's done that 5 times.
I posted this in another thread. But tonight he had the speed as well.
Here were the total fastest times by sector of the 450 main Webb vs Sexton.
Sexton - 2 of 8
Webb - 4 of 8
To add to that, of 2 sectors where neither Sexton nor Webb were the fastest, Webb was faster then Sexton in both. Data is data and Webb had Sexton covered on speed tonight.
Just curious. Who all did Webb pass in the first lap?
chase clearly the fastest contender remaining....but Webb is going to take this down to the wire, won't be surprised if he's champ!
'25 SX Champ. Stamp it.
Double stamp it.
Pit Row
I’ve only noticed this idea he’s not fast this season. Where the heck did that idea come from?
He’s fast as hell!
Have we ever seen coop throw around a 450 like he is? He looks really really comfortable on the bike. Especially in quali today on his heaters
Feeling good and loves being back at Star
this whole thing about him not being the fastest is not true. RC tried to play his own prowess down. watch Webb on 250’s. it’s fast.
I'm a fan of Ken..... but you have to think every time Coop does this to him, Coops motivation is the diss Kenny said about him years ago "He ain't shit".
Another Webb clinic tonight.
There’s no one I want to win this more than Ken but as soon as I saw Cooper behind him I knew “we” were fucked.
Webb looked dialed, he really does crush the east coast.
Joel Robert!
Coop has always turned up the heat in the final minutes, and Kenny always fades.....not like he used to, but like RC said, he would much rather be in that "cat bird seat" number 2 spot....Webb def looks at one with his machine, they got that thing dialed in
I will admit, Webb was the man last night, and he might even be the man for the championship. But have you ever seen Webb come from behind like Sexton has? It seems like if he gets less than a top 5 start he has nothing for the top guys.
My point is this, everyone talks about mental toughness and how Webb is extremely solid and consistent and Sexton is a basket case; but I don’t think Webb could put on a ride like Sexton in the same circumstances. To me, that shows a different type of mental toughness.
Not saying that Webb doesn’t deserve praise for his racecraft, speed and bull-dog attitude, just saying that I think y’all are counting out Sexton too early.
IMO
I get what you are saying, and its a very good point. But consider that Coop generally gets good starts too. When he doesn't, I agree that he doesn't blast through the pack like sexton. Those heroic comebacks are exciting...and risky. When coop gets a bad start, he still makes a solid (non heroic) comeback within the bounds of risk. This is what we talk about when we say 'race craft'. He has it much like Dungey had it. Both very fast, and their solid decision making puts them in good position for championships.
*Coop may be even more opportunistic that Dungey was though, Dungey was always pushing it, and Coop seems to have given up at times when he thinks the Championship is out of reach. Both have that way of accepting what the race gives them within the bounds of risk when pushing it though.
He doesn't put himself in the position to need to come from. Behind very often. Hell he was 7 or 8 in the first corner and made quick passes
