It's the same shit every year now.

Injuries and a depleted field by the end of the SX season which wrecks outdoors.

He never had it x-ray'd at the track Saturday.

They knew it was broken but ET toughed it out.

Sadly racers getting hurt and out is nothing new it happens every year by this point.

It happens enough not to be gobsmacked by it but this year. Is nuts. How often do we lost the two best guys completely after 5 rounds

In 2018, marv and eli might have been beetter than ando and got hurt early but only missed like a round. 2010 you could have said James and Chad but with hindsight, the title was then fought between the Ryans whod go on to win 8 in a row

the toughest rider. he wanted to stay in it for the title. that man lined up and did 20 min with this. May be an image of bone, xray and text that says '6:03 5GH 93 3 blucruofficial Upon further evaluation after the weekend Eli Tomac was found have sustained broken Fibula during qualifying Tampa Supercross. Initially thought be a calf and sprained ankle, the @monsterenergy Yamaha Star Racing rider put heroic performance in Tampa, finishing seventh in in his heat and scoring five points the main event. Tomac will focus on returning to full fitness with an update on his return to follow at later date.'

What an absolute animal to gut out a 17th with a broken leg on a gnarly track.

It might just be the slightest hairline fracture.

That would be my guess…obviously not a complete break. Should heal fairly quickly (I hope). Expecting he will be back in SX before the end of the series..

What’s fucked about that X-ray is I bet it wasn’t displaced till he raced on it with bad information.

I struggle to get why people always think Sexton is gonna walk to this title, Webb looks way more solid imo

Do you have eyes, or sense sarcasm? Lol

It's a complete break and slightly displaced.

12 rounds to go.  Let’s not crown anybody just yet.

Hope we get to witness Beast Mode at least once more before he decides he’s had enough.  Sometimes this sport just sucks…

Bro is tough as nails.  God damn.  He was walking around on it all night and hitting whoops with it…insane grit

They either did not do x rays at the track or did and it was decided that they'd play dumb and give him some kind of nerve block/pain killer and he'd just tough it out.

Same as always....there are those who discount Webb every year.       He's been proving people wrong time after time.

He's the best he's ever looked this year.       Before,  my wish for the title was a toss-up between Tomac, Webb or Roczen.  I hope Coop takes the title now.

is it too early to start asking about '26? 😅 eli if youre reading this please take as much time off as you need, and come back for another year. you dont owe it to  anyone at all as you are one of the goats, but everyone will obviously agree the series is better with you in it.

That’s a proper break - not something the average human would be walking on, let alone hitting whoops. Superhuman to ride with that!

Don’t know the man but I’ve pulled for him for the last several years when I got back into following the sport. He is a true professional. Was absolutely sick when he tore his Achilles a couple years ago and didn’t even watch the rest of the series. He has nothing left to prove, but I would still love to see him compete for one more Supercross title. Best of luck with a speedy recovery ET3!

Hard to think this isn’t CW2’s title to lose (even though he’s still behind Chase for now)

This absolutely sucks for Tomac.  I think it’s his last year and the SX title is gone.  I’d like to see him heal up and begin outdoor prep when he gets back on the bike.

And there are no fucking gifts in racing….

That sucks.  Also who is responsible for doing the x-rays so bad the first time they couldn't see that break?

I don't even know that they even did an X-Ray at the stadium for proper diagnosis (they should have).  That break he has dont look good....How one could miss it in an x-ray is beyond me. I'm not a Dr. and I can clearly see it's broken and displaced. lol

Gosh I wonder if riding on a partially broken leg will cause it to break more? Probably saw something on x-ray but not enough to be sure and left it up to Tomac to decide what he was comfortable with.

The x-ray Yamaha showed looked like a pretty good break...
