Can’t wait to see what they bring.
My dad sent me an AI video of a KX 500 release the other day too.
It's going to be a 319. There are carb and EFI versions but a final decision on that is still pending. There will be a MX and X-country version. There will be a button. The XC version will not have lights but a plug in light kit will be available.
Let's see you start a YZ250 by hand...I'll even PayPal you $3.50 if you do

Interesting...Of all the speculators on here, I think you may be who I believe the most based on your background and posting history. If I'm not mistaken, you own a dealership in MS but it's not a Kawasaki shop. Did you get some inside info from another dealer or Kaw rep? Silence implies "yes" as does a "no"! 😃
I have sources and have know for while. Did not say anything until Kawasaki let it out. I never tell sources.
Used to do it with my 87 YZ250 when working on it.....
Can you point us in the direction where Kawasaki let it out? I'd like to read or see that release, especially where they talk about carb or EFI.
They let it out that its a 2 stroke and my sources could be wrong about details. I'm ok with that, I'm just passing on info I've gotten. Feel free to ignore it.
So, your data is just as valid as the other hundred people in this thread, got it.
I guess we will see.
I saw the same video, KX500 with a 125 pipe, it's going to be a screamer!
If it is a KX roller with a 319 2 stroke engine, full moto bike, that might be the ultimate motocross weapon ever... kudos to Kawasaki if they make that happen.
A brand needs to bond with there client. So if Kawasaki is smart they come with an competitive 50 - 65 - 85 and in USA 112cc, and in Europe more 125cc. That would make that little kids can ride "the bike" that Jason Anderson rides, or if one of the Pro Circuit riders have a break out season idem with Prado, they can play that PR-tool too!
Besides that a 300cc two stroke seems a decent selling item in a lot of European brands line-up, and with a few tweaks they could put a KX300 and a KLX300 on the market (KLX with more mappings where the high range isn't used).
Not that I want a 300, but if it happens hopefully it’s not a 250 big bore. Just saying
Thanks for your reply! I meant to say "former" Kawasaki representative above and we all have "sources" and I respect your desire to keep them "unknown". I've appreciated your postings for around 15 years on another site I follow and you have always seemed to be a straight shooter!
I'm a bit on the OCD spectrum and I'd be much more likely to purchase a KX320 over a KX319.
Don't look at the number of cc's on your current bike
Pit Row
Wouldn't you prefer a KX325?
I hear ya
I race a successful off road series in central Texas and I’ll tell there are a lot of families that marry into the Austrian family because of the 50cc bikes. They just move on up through the line-up and parents buy PMG bikes as well in a lot of cases. It’s amazing to me that the Japanese haven’t put any effort to the 50cc market - hell buy Cobra or something. It’s where it begins for a lot of familes 🤔
25 pages deep and we still have no idea what kaw will be offering? Is this the biggest jerk job of all time or what? Here is something in my garage…
1990 KX-250! Beautiful bike, Sandman. Owned one back in the day. Loved it! Killer motor and suspension.
