Those saying the track sucked, we saw folks get shitty starts and work their way through the entire pack, that makes it a great track.  Difficult maybe, but they are professionals, they are supposed to be able to handle a difficult track.

Not trying to be a contrarian, but I thought the track was awesome...  Challenging, and 100 places to pass.

Agreed.....and the injuries were not on the technical parts of the track and all the tracks have been great.  Tomac hurt in a corner and somehow didn't get his foot back on, but did not actually crash.  Hunter crashed on a simple jump, but jumped off the track.  Brown crashed in the shortened whoop section.

Tell me again the tracks are too technical?

I do think tough blocks need to revised somehow, but they save guys sometimes too.  Again.  The sport is dangerous and always has been.  Listen to interviews from guys who raced in the 80's and it's the same deal.

What sucks is we had a great series going ….Then they build a track like this and takes everyone OUT! Like chill out and let the guys battle it out . We need the top guys to have a good series ALL YEAR!

Easy to say with benefit of hindsight. Where are these comments before hand?   The Kenny thing was a fluke, Eli’s too. If pierce accident didn’t happen no one is saying the track sucked/ it’s death cross.

I just lose interest in sx more and more as I turn in to a grumpy old never was. It's pro racing, so I'm obviously going to watch it. And I'll be excited for the start of the season. I'm already so disappointed with Jett gone and now who knows what's up with Eli. I was so fucking pumped for Jett and Eli this summer. We'll never see a real mx series with the two of them. Even if Jett rushes back, it won't be what it should be. Just like last year's sx between the two of them.

Reminds me of one of Hannahs last supercross's in 87 or 88 on the Suzuki when he crashed in the whoops. The sport was changing, and he was so uncomfortable it was heartbreaking. I was just a kid, but he sent it anyways for the fans, the look on his face said everything.

My fear is people think this is how riding goes everyday for the common man. I wonder if tracks getting shut down sometimes is based on watching all these Pro riders crash and get injured? The list is worse every year or seems it....

Numbers don't lie, the REAL series is SX. If the riders had to pick between the 2 series all the big names would be riding SX , sorry if its to intense for you to watch.

It was an enduro cross track that they flooded and made knee deep ruts on the jump faces. a little lime could help.

I’m not hear to jump to string up the track crew. I have praised the tracks many times, especially this year. Last week’s track was the best we have seen in a while but some of the shit they do sometimes I don’t understand. Best example I can think of the jump that got forkner last year. They should have shaved the lip off the back side of the table.

You pays yer money and takes yer chances.

There's other sports that aren't as risky...dirt bike racin' is fucking dangerous.  The people that do it would probably find something else just as risky if there was no dirt bikes.

Let's not pretend that SX racers are anything more than modern Gladiators.

Heck the sand bit more riders than the rest of the track combined, at least one sand section at every track can slow things down and shake things up. 😎

First time watching an east coast supercross?  There always rutty. Wait for Indianapolis. Obviously no one wants to see riders get hurt but it’s unfortunately part of the game. It’s as much a sport of attrition as it is speed, fitness, talent and technique.

Lime isn’t coming back after what happened at San Diego a few years ago.

Don't know why anyone is surprised....it's the same every year now.

People scream for their quads and deadly whoops etc etc...   Throw out slowing the racing down, using  less powerful bikes, etc etc and the mob is all over you.

SX has become nothing more than practiced to death aerial gymnastics now....and the consequences of a minor mistake are season and career changing.

At what point do we start prioritizing the safety/health of the riders over the ever increasing dangers of the sport for our 5 minute attention span entertainment.

We’re agreeing. San Diego was also another head scratcher and really unfortunate incident for the sport. These tracks need some lime.

It was in Florida. I am disappointed that they weren't jumping over a moat full of gators with flaming gasoline on top.

The number of injuries are the brand awareness of our sport. Insurance companies, parents buying kids bikes, the general populace judges our sport by it's most visible display. And it looks brutal.

SX is too many rounds and it gets stale after a few rounds anyway. More outdoors and less SX. 450 too much power for a sx track put them all on a 250 lol. I kid.

There's no solution to the equation of good racing, exciting tracks, and relatively safe that doesn't involve less powerful bikes. You can pick two of those three things as is, but you'll never get all three with these bikes. Last year they went safe and everyone complained. This year we've had good racing and exciting tracks at the expense of them being relatively less safe.

Safety of the entertainers is not a priority.

Or career ending injuries. The tracks need to get more technical to slow them down and if Arenacross gets into bigger and bigger stadiums I'm all for the re-incarnation of the Road to Supercross where those kids get an own championship (but race between the AX Pro's) and need to do almost the whole season in the AX instead of two races like in the past and in combination with two or three "real" supercross races included Daytona at night you've a real championship where those kids got exposed to a lot of new stuff. Or they get there Pro license due to a full season in Canada MX or Europe EMX250 (and if you choose the MX way to Pro, you can't debut in SX, than your first race will always be an outdoor race and you will get into supercross after your first (full) AMA Pro season of outdoor racing.)

2/9/2025 5:58pm

Racing motorcycles is dangerous. Playing sports leads to injuries. Nothing will change this. Quit trying to take the freedom of choice and progress. All the injuries this year just proves how bad these guys want to win.
