I wouldn’t hire him just based on reliability and motivation on other teams in the past, especially the JGR days. I think the team he’s on is low key enough to suit him and he’s doing well
HRC is better off with no one on the bike than they'd be with the smoke they's get from putting Friese on it...

When was the last time a Honda fill-in rider performed well? Nichols? Brayton (may have been HRC stuff on MCR bike)? Albertson? Townley? THahn (he may have had a full contract)? IDK.

Friese is a gate/start wizard. I'd be interesting to see how he does on a top factory ride.

It's interesting... suggesting that an hrc bike would work better as opposed to the version they've been on , and tested for months.
He got the holeshot award at San Diego and finished 15th. He started in the top 5 at A1 and finished 15th. Those are his only two races this year.
Hill is a good rider, but sometimes riders do well due to their environment. Getting a factory bike doesnt auto=better performance. Hill is in a more relaxed team environment where that may suit him better. Kevin windham performed better when he was at Factory Connection Honda vs HRC, he still had the factory bike and support but not the direct factory pressure.
Not to mention he currently riders a KTM. He would need time to test and find a setting. which means he might be out for a weekend and really may not do any better. His results are up and down and itll look worse for honda to have a HRC bike in 15th vs not having one out there at all.
If anything I'd pull someone like Mcelrath or Savatgy over since theyre already on Hondas and Savatgy has shown speed to run up front before
Truth. You could put Jett (or any top guy) on a clapped out 1982 YZ80 and me on a HRC450 and I'd get smoked.

Dylan’s 450 career is a head scratcher. Can’t see any motivation to put him on the hrc450.
I was actually thinking Shimoda (I think someone else mentioned it too). He’s out of the championship most likely. Why not let him jump on the 450 when his hand gets a little better?

No. He’s good where he is. He had his opportunities on factory bikes and failed to take advantage of them.
