Seriously. I'll throw a jab in at RC here and there. He's not good, whatever. But the racing is so good and I'm so focused on it, it's such small potatoes to me. I barely notice the broadcast. Certainly not enough to have a thread about it every week

I feel like I bitch the most about stuff on here at times...but Jesus Christ can you guys just stop with the RC announcing hate. He's not as bad as you say he is. Ralph/Emig were undeniably terrible. But I don't need to make a new Topic about it every FKN week.
Wil seems like a nice lady and clearly gets on with people in the pits. She speaks well and does her job but I just don’t understand why the things she says are in the race and not exclusively before or even after as a means of additional context. I feel like In no other sport do we have the announcers “throwing it down” every 5 minutes to a reporter
I agree . The announcing doesn't really bother me although I do like it better when James is there .
The production could be better as far as staying on close racing etc. but I still enjoy settling in and watching.

It's a sad day when merit isn't rewarded. Yes, he could have and arguably should have stuck it out and that's part and parcel of "success", but I can't blame him for the decision he made. Life's pretty short to be around soul suckers all day.
Emig/Ralph weren't great but they were more tolerable. Partly Jeff's voice and partly him not being a raging narcissist. Ricky just has this "listen to me!" Vibe every time he opens his mouth. "That's a great point JT [goes on to repeat verbatim JTs actual analysis].."
Fro improved tremendously over the years. Ricky hasn’t, and may have even regressed. His forced “corporate speak” simply doesn’t resonate, which is disappointing as RC can deliver the goods when going off-script.

Agreed. RC learns how to stop using certain crutch phrases but doesn't actually improve. Sadly even Fro was susceptible to the corporate guidelines, and/or he's just too nice of a guy or too close to the industry to call it like it is.

It must be some kind of plan by NBC to increase female/they viewership. All her contributions are female orientated in that they have a gossipy overly emotional feel. "I was talking to Kenny's wife Courtney there....blah blah blah...about his home life...". STFU.

I've been muting Will for a long time and lately have started just leaving it muted after she's finished her dribble. I find I actually can concentrate on the race more when I'm not being subject to all the chatter. The only people I value listening to on the broadcast are JT, and Stew when he's on.
RC has gotten worse and seems more self conscious these days. It goes to show that it's not all about hard work because it's not for a lack of trying and he even said how mad it makes him when he messes up (on gypsy). On a dirt bike yes he worked hard, maybe the hardest, but I also dont think it would matter how hard any of his opponents worked - he was going to win because he was better than them. He just doesnt have the same flow with calling a race and thats fine but I think its hard to deal with as someone who was told how great he was from childhood to 27

The one thing you can ALWAYS count on is when they pass it to Will, something exciting will happen on the track that she will not stop to mention, then by the time she is done, it's no loner relevant.
Opposite to this is JT, he ALWAYS interrupts his segment to call action if it's happening. And he does a good job at it too!
It's all good. There was a time you waited all year to watch one race that happened 6 months ago interspersed with downhill skiing or figure skating, and we were still grateful. 😂
