I think if it’s bad or even close to being bad Honda has so much invested in  him for the next few years they would shut him down. Let it heal completely and not risk anything else for the future.

Dang he's been more likeable and humble this year too. He's a great competitor and makes the sport better being able to battle up front. Especially a bummer with all that mirtl drama too, now this. Hopefully he's not out too long.

That was wild to just ride off the track immediately. Not good.  FUCK. 2nd main when we started to see a Jett Chase Eli freight train, I got so excited

MC rode his whole career with it torn right?

He might be one RC is for sure. For some reason I want to say Kdub, and maybe Reed or DV

I can’t remember if it was an ACL or MCL, but whichever it was, Langston has said he hasn’t had one since he was a kid.

Your right Langston has talked about it. It was ACL from what I remember

Yeah I think so until he couldn’t. The problem is riding without an acl does damage to the meniscus which is harder to repair without long term degradation. There is also the risk of it popping out while riding.

You can walk with a torn acl. You can’t with a mcl. At least I couldn’t when I tore mine. My knee popped out when I put weight on it.

I’ve torn both in the same knee at separate times. Mcl was way worse. I couldn’t walk for 6 weeks. My dad made me crank my bike a land ride it back to the truck after I tore my acl. I could walk fine just a little painful.

I have to say, if Jett is able to come back next week or a week or two later, he's lucky this happened on a Triple Crown night where a 21st in the last race still allowed him to finish inside the top 10 for points

When I tore my acl and meniscus I was walking around afterwards. While my friend was telling my dumbass to go have it looked at. I even managed to kick my bike over right afterwards.

I think he’ll be racing next week but if he’s injured it will change the way he rides. Being off 2% at that level is the difference between 1st and sixth. Tampa here we come

did stewart ride for several years without an acl?  I remember hearing stories of like 3-4 years.

Stew tore his in the last practice session @A1 in 2013 and rode that main later that night and I don’t think he ever fixed it. I don’t think he ever said he was getting surgery in 2013-16 when he was still racing.

This is no big deal, I heard Forkner raced without his brain once.

Fingers crossed that a hyper extension stinger is all that it is. Sounds like it seemed stable and was similar to a scary knee pain that Roczen got at SLC in 2023.

I've had that exact same injury, just at a much older age.  Knee was super stiff and swollen for about a month.  Surgeon #1 said I would never ride again and I needed a new knee, lol.  Went to the Mayo clinic and the sports med team there fixed me right up and have been riding ever since.  But it was pretty bad for about a month.  No way could I have ridden - I could barely walk.  Maybe with being younger and the best medical experts available he can get back sooner.  If it was just a hyper extension stinger, I'd bet he will be our 2-3 weeks min, and when he comes back he still won't be 100%.  The pain of that injury is pretty freaky.  i've had a lot of injuries and a lot of surgeries.  That injury was very memorable, the feeling of when it happened.  Will always be a memory I will have.

This is how you tear/snap a medial collateral ligament. I’ve done this

Jett’s will be ACL if anything.

IF Jett is out (and no, absolutely NOBODY wants to see the title favorite lose like this) these guys are going to absolutely kill each other to take this title. We’ve seen how everyone rides with Jett there and with Jett gone. I think the confidence level of all of these guys skyrockets. Tomac, Sexton, Kenny, Webb, they’ve all beat each other before and will believe they can do it again.

I know you meant "bear any weight" but the autocorrect sure gave me a good laugh 😁

Yes and no, with three motos there's more of a chance of things happening in the opening laps of each race. If one main it might not even happened like the first two.

Would be the sane way to do it. Save some stress and keep the swollen down.
