New bike day is always good, but this one is extra sweet. It's the first new bike I've bought for myself since 2006! '24 50th anniversary edition YZ250.

Good thing you bought new, because back in the day you had the Vital 2-stroke mafia that would say “If you want 2-strokes back, you have to speak with your wallet and buy NEW only.”

They couldn’t wait to tell that to anyone who dared post a used 2-stroke during that time.

Look how that worked out. Morans

Seems like you took that personally, it appears you have moved on from it. 👍

Yep. It was irritating considering all that was going on at the time. Thanks for that 😎

2013 Tacoma bought new. It just turned over 290,000 miles. I changed the spark plugs at 250K, but only because I felt guilty.

Thanks for the kind words, fellas.

Awesome!  I didn't figure there would be any '24's left over, especially the anniversary edition.

Nice score.

So sexy! I bought one new from Capitol Yamaha in '93. Pretty good Yamabucks back in the day.

Since I kept the last YZ for 19 years, I think this one may have to be a long-term bike too. I'm going to tear it down and grease everything, like you're supposed to but I have never done to a new bike. 😬

Sweet!  I bought my current bike, a 2005 Yz125 in 2004.  Thanks for reminding me that I'm due for a refresh!

Congrats!!
