Roger d. Look how long he has been getting paid. 🤣
Why? Dude walked off the job. Had a mediocre racing career.
Travis honestly has to be the richest. His racing salary and gear deals were big, then followed immediately by the success of X Games. Red Bull athlete for years. Then being a Subaru sponsored driver for years, and now I imagine Nitro Circus is his biggest income. He’s not a flashy guy, hes not buying mansions and supercars. He’s had 25 years of being a famous well paid athlete. I would not be surprised if he’s above $30M
Come on. There's definitely a billionaire 'mxer' out there somewhere. Income from industry because of being pro is the question. Money from being a rocket scientist afterwards, or Daddy's rich, doesn't count.

To narrow it down,
Q. Which Pro rider earned the most from their racing career?
A. ?
The biggest question is which ones haven’t gotten divorced. That kills guys and I’m friends w one of the guys listed in this post and divorce was brutal for him. Ricky got divorced couple years ago right? Between giving up half and selling assets and spousal support and child support it disappears quickly.
Everyone keeps saying Pastrana, I'm sure the most money is generated by him, but he's on record as saying he can't help but put almost all the money back into Nitro Circus for building new ramps/bags/pits/etc. to help other athletes achieve more while being safer. I'm sure he's very well off, but it's not like he's putting half the money in his pocket. Maybe he's being intentionally misleading though.
jett may be already.............
Rickie Fowler?
Reed? I thought I saw somewhere that he was the 3rd richest athlete out of Aus and was worth somewhere near 60 mill? Maybe I’m wayyy off, but I thought I had read that somewhere years ago.
It's probably somebody like Martin Davalos, Jeff Matiasevich, Dakota Tedder, or Axell Hodges where those families were already doing really damn well long before those kids ever even got involved in the sport and dirt bike income is just gravy.
Which racing career?
I know I'm wrong, but I assume Jeff Ward made bucks from his Indy car career?
Mitch Payton, Fox Brothers, White Brothers, Carey Hart marrying Pink, Lechien and Maxima racing products. Matiasevich and grocery shipping business. Donny Emler (FMF).
If we’re talking about money made after their motocross career, hands down, Matt Tedder.
I”m not 100% sure but ,I think that Indy car racing Cost Ward $…..
Albertyn got into commercial real estate after his moto career ended. Ive heard and read that he is filthy rich now.
I read somewhere R de C invested money along with Albertyn which disappeared. Any truth in this ?
Go watch a couple of the Channel 199 YouTube videos and check out the crowd sizes at the Nitro events; they aren't what they used to be. Maybe they pack the house in Australia/overseas, but the US shows don't seem to be bringing the crowds. I'm not saying TP is headed for the poor house, but I'd bet his bank account isn't what some of you think it is.
Pit Row
He lost just about everything he made in real estate in 2009.
But he started another company that does very well.
What about a different question? It will make things clearer.
Which rider made (or is making) the most money from their MX/SX career? And to be even clearer - lets just include money made directly from racing and racing based contracts - not from investments made from that income (e.g: in property etc).
If the stuff about Reed making $60 million is true he must be up there.
I heard on Pulp once RV had $30 million post career (made from racing).
along with a number of industry and investors money,
I thought TP along with his partners sold Nitro Circus. To the same people that own the UFC.
Antonio Cairoli? Been at it for a long time with KTM and now Ducati
Seely ? No
Yes.
Jim Jannard.
I remember Reed supposedly being worth 60 million because of real estate investments, then that went down quite a bit with the economy?
in the last year, didn’t herlings say he owns 50+ houses outright? And continues building/buying them?
Yup, a lot of industry guys lost money. It made two guys work longer than they planned.

I doubt is. According to Herlings the top riders get good salaries from the factories but shit house bonuses.
