So many storylines heading into 2025 SMX but there can only be one lead story...

And it's Daniel Blair!

The former AX Lites West Champion and Eagle Grit Founder turned the industry upside down when he announced that he's leaving KTM USA and Orange Brigade KTM. Word is that he has been inspired to chase his dreams again! Overreactions are all over the map from him racing Arenacross again, to being the Team Manager for Star Racing Yamaha. Or stepping back into the booth to take over the Lead Role with the broadcast team. (Sorry Weege).

But my money is on the most shocking announcement of all. Making his debut as NFL Announcer for all the Dallas Cowboys home games next season.

Either way this dude is a living LEGEND and I can't wait to see what he does.

He certainly is carving a deep path. I was one that was highly critical of him. He made some changes and just keeps cracking it out of the park.

I wish him well and am actually excited to see what he can achieve.

I read this, chuckled at the NFL joke.  Went and turned on the TV and there is Jenny Taft on the sidelines of a college football bowl game.  You never know I guess.

Probably directly related to the tongue tied farm animal we're stuck with.

I don't know, didn't AC dictate to us all that there are no bad broadcasters, that it is all in our heads and a matter of opinion? Seemingly we would be fine with Bobcat Goldthwait from the Police Academy era in the broadcast booth rather than an insightful, comprehensible, and well-spoken individual like Blair.

Didn't he mention a few weeks ago on Pulp he had something brewing?  He didn't mention leaving KTM though.

There are few guys I like and respect more in this sport than DB.  Excited to see what he does next.

With Indycar moving from NBC / Peacock to Fox next year, and some of the on air talent following, plus Leigh Diffey moving to the Nascar side of things, there might be some interesting openings for Daniel.

Matthe’s ticket to retirement is Blair taking over pulp.

Not meant as a slight, more like a testament to his determination to make different things work, but dude has had like 4 different career paths while I've been wearing the same pair of shoes! I'm sure he'll be fine, whatever he does next.

They have the money for the signing bonus, but pretty sure DB has too much integrity to work for that company

Is this a shot at Matthes' integrity?

I'd be curious to know what makes you feel that way.  I know that lots of people get mad at Matthes because of his politics and in the modern era most people aren't mature enough to be able to see past politics, but I've never seen Matthes' integrity questioned.

+1. There are plenty of pot shots to take at Steve but this isn’t one of them.

You answered your own question. Just look at their account history...

It's also hilarious when people project their own feelings onto another person as if it's fact.

Too busy punching air after finding out people with differing political ideologies are good friends.
