I think you may have missed the word if in my question, this is all hypothetical.
I am on my 4th austrian 450, right now have a 23 practise bike and 24 race bike and i am sure I can keep them going a while since I love them.
But, the triumph specs looked good on paper, and the positive reviews on their 450 cemented that decision but doubt wear out my bikes in 2025.
Will be interesting to own kyb forks for first time since 2001 yz250 open bath setup..... been on shows and WP for my last 11 bikes.

If you are racing, you're best off going with a KX. The Team Green contingency program is better than the rest by far. You can find a race somewhere, most weekends that are paying team green bucks.
if you're obsessed with the KTM feel, go with the triumph or Beta once they iron out their engine package better.

I'd be surprised 250 ( passing is easier I got told with a 450 ), in saying that if anyone could Kaleb would be my pick.
I'd consider 350 Yamaha yzfx. Kinda over the KTM tax ( not just me ).
After riding Husqvarna (TC 125 2020, FC 250 23/24) for 4 years, I've just switched to Triumph and love everything about it. Stopwatch wise I'm even faster on the Triumph. So yeah, I'll stay on Triumph for the time being. If they get too expensive I will switch to Yamaha or Kawasaki.
I got to ride a few Hondas, 23 and 25, and I like the chassis but not a fan of the motor.
Really? I have ridden two Sherc 300s and could not hand them back fast enough. They did not fit me at all.

I am keeping my 23 250XC for the time being but if I were to replace it, it would be a 25 350XCF. KTM motorcycles aren't going away. The heads of the corporation my change and they may shift business practices and strategies but I'd almost guarantee they don't close up shop and stop producing the bikes we all ride and race.

It’s not even an official model in Europe. It’s a bike built by KL service out of Italy. Similar to the Bimota kx450 that we saw a few years ago.
I plan on buying a Beta 350 or 390 RE this spring. Most likely after riding both at their demo days since I haven’t ridden one yet. If I don’t like one of them I’ll buy a 300 RE. Or maybe I’ll go back to an old reliable YZ 250 🤔
So many choices but one thing is for sure, it absolutely will not be a KTM brand again. I hope this opens their eyes and they decide to give customers what they want. Customers have been fighting WP suspension since the 4CS debacle (maybe even before that??) and quite honestly it’s pathetic.
IF Yamaha is actually making a YZ 350 I’d be calling the dealer immediately to be put on the list.

No, if they make a Carburated 360 or 380 with Kayaba Suspension i will buy one ,that will not happen so the next is a BETA RX 300
I plan on getting a 26 350 when the rebates hit, I have too much invested in wheels, CV suspension, and wear items such as sprockets chains filters to switch up brands at this point in my life. I am quite confident that KTM will survive!

KTM will make it out of this. There might be big changes and adjustments but they’ll rebound. I’ll keep buying KTMs in hopes that it helps! The more brands with factory rides the better
It's interesting how all the KTM potential buyers seem to be eager to scoop up deals, but PMG's management says that key to their survival will be to restore larger margins. Seems at odds.
They have to move some iron first, in this market that's going to be tough. I think big discounts are the coming on unsold units.
Yeah, but the guy I'm responding to is talking about discounted '26s, which haven't even started production yet, but seems in line with general buyer sentiment.

I'm a 350 guy but I'd highly consider there 450.
Been a huge fan of the 350 engine since 2014. An ECU and FMF slip-on and you were go to go. I hated the suspension and I loved the brakes. This I could work with. But, being 6'4", 220, with a questionable back, both knees replaced, it took a lot to fit comfortably on the bike. Now I never liked the big bore 4 strokes, hated my 1999 YZ 400, my 2021 FE KTM 450 and Kawasaki's in general.
So, why do I have a 2023 Kawasaki KX450 SR? Because I rode one. A few months back three of my weekly riding buddies picked up some 2023 KX450 SR's and I tried one for two slow laps. 4 days later i had one with only 5 hours on it. The ergonomics are perfect for me with a tall seat and lowered pegs. It turns super easy and is very stable. And the power i killer perfect for a non racer like me who loves the 350 and hated the 450's for being too abrupt and powerful. Easy transition from the 350.
I would still buy a KTM/GasGas/Husky for the woods when I am ready to replace my 2022 GasGas 250EC with a 350.
