There's just one thing I don't get...
$13,599 plus $550 Destination Charge.
I see all the goodies and the bike is stellar...but...and let's say it out-loud...
$14,149 for a dirt bike?
Damn!
ps - yes, I see it, too...the irony of me & my screen-name...it's not lost on me. 🤣
If I could pick any new bike, that would probably be it but I would absolutely never pay that much. That’s almost double what my 2022 250 cost me.
It’s alot of coin for sure. Especially when recently a 24 could have been had for 7k. Not sure if those discounts will be around again or not, but a 7k base 24 allows for a heck of alot of upgrades, OR a spare bike…
Not hating on the SR, but it’s a lot of cash…
I'll probably pick up a standard 450 next spring when they have their rebates going for 7500 or so
It's $3100 more than the 2025 KX450. The PC Exhaust is like $1200 alone... plus all the other stuff it comes with, chain, sprocket, X-Trigs, coated rear shock, porting, and bng's. I'm sure they'll go quick, even at that price. It is a good chunk of change tho.

Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Dude, get used to it. As you know, shit ain't cheep to build anymore. Prior SR's sale's were "just ok".That's why kmc skipped a year. Hopefully they sell well this year.
I just pulled the trigger on a 2024. $7500 out the door. Too good to pass up.
You're not calculating dealer markup AND sales tax....
I just paid $9k for my wife’s mountain bike. Not proud of that. Just saying….KX has a motor at least……
Absolutely gorgeous bike.
In my opinion you cannot in any way complain about pricing for factory editions. They are obviously special and released in limited numbers. Hence the price.
One interesting industry related thing, no Monster logo. Indication that the rumors regarding Monster pulling out of the Kawsaki sponsorship in all diciplines is actually true?
I have the 2022 SR. But I’m still thinking about getting a 2025 SR. It’s just Beautiful. But I would also like to see if they will have 250 SR. Or what the 2025 Honda WE is gonna be like.
My problem is I don’t have enough space. I already have 4 KX450s now
It all depends on the comparison. If we are comparing a full price base bike, then yeah its a no brainer in my opinion. The problem is, not many people pay full price for the base KX bikes. I just got mine for $7500 OTD, you can buy the Xtrigs as an oem part for a little over 500, PHDS clamps for a little over $150 which is a deal IMO. Same goes for the Hinson cover at $160. Leaves plenty of money for graphics kit, revalve and exhaust. The problem is, head work. if you add the cost of head work plus labor (even if you do it yourself labor still has a price in this situation), the SR at $13k is probably still the better deal
good call, but thank god they dropped the monster logo. it was time
Making room for Jorge Prado Red Bull?
Waiting on Yamaha to sell a Factory edition. People can dream
Why? The formula is there all you need to do is buy x trigs an fmf exhaust and an ecu if you want. Boom factory edition.
Unless it’s just ego stroking so you can brag about having an FE.
Monster Edition $10,199
FMF Ti-Carbon $1,374.99
X-Trig Complete $854
GYT Clutch Cover $180
GYT Ign-Cover $300
GYT Hi-Flow Filter $30
Total: $12,938
Just because... Honestly the 450 is so good you can just put things on you like and your done. The 250's those are fun to build and race
Pit Row
I’d love to have one ! But it’s not gona make me any faster,
I bought a 22 SR for my son. His was number 59 of 400. Main reason was to help him with starts in the 450B Stock class and get to Loretta's. It was like a cheater bike in that class. He was very competitive in that class in 22, but at any Region there are about 20 at that level, with only 6 spots going to the National. Starts are sooooo important. He was in a qualifying spot but in the third moto got t-boned and didn't make it in that class. Did make it in College Boy which is an A/B class. He was one of a hand full of B riders that year at the Ranch in College Boy. Not bad considering he was in the C class in 21.
Back to the SR. For 23 1400 were produced and with Showa suspension. 24 was skipped because of the new model. Now its back for 25 and just under 1000 will be available. Should be pretty amazing on the new platform.
I will spend $15k for the Ducati in late '25
I’m riding e-bikes with a friend on Sunday. (I’m renting a Levo to stay up with him) He told me he has 16k into his Levo! He said his local bike shop in the Bay Area had to sell the high dollar e-bikes in a separate building so people wouldn’t compare the bicycle prices to the dirt bikes. Just crazy, but it illustrates how relative bike prices are.
i think i know the shop youre talking about. theres no reason to spend that much tho unless you just want to. theres alot of hyped up parts and brands in mtb that do next to nothing for performance but cost twice as much. trek fuel EXEs are on sale right now for a song.
Does the $14K include an engine with some horsepower?
20k*
Probably right
As someone who rides dirt/street, the thing that blows my mind is the fact that a motocross bike has a price point right in between a zx-6r and a zx-10r.
I bought the Yamaha Moro 07 for $2800 OTD
I’m not sure how it stacks up component wise to the Levosor any other top end e-bike but it’s absolutely awesome for what I do
I also have the Moro Pro that is barely a step down from the 07 and it is awesome as well
That is kind of eye opening. How many zx6 zx10 are sold compared to kx250/450 I wonder. Could just be an economics at scale thing.
They may seem like small things, but to get a bone stock KX to an SR you left out a few more things that you would have to do;
Modified cylinder head with polished intake ports
Re mapped ECU/DFI settings
Kashima Ti02 coating and revalved forks
Kashima coating and revalved rear shock
Metallic magnesium gold color cylinder head cover
Aftermarket oversized brake rotors
Gold DID chain and Renthal rear sprocket
Black anodized rims
The above would cost you at the minimum another $2,000.00, probably closer to $3,000.00+ so it would put your stock KX with all the mods over $15,000.00
So essentially instead of hunting down all the parts and mods yourself, you get it in a one stop shop and save a few $$$
If you have the $$$ and don't need to or want to take the time to do one mod at a time, it is worth the price for sure.
