Colby Covington was going to get cut for being boring - even though he won every fight - so he became the over-the top character we see today. Anyone who actually meets Covington when he's out of character seems to think he's actually a very nice guy. I suspect Sean is much the same. I'm not saying I like these personas, but controversy generates revenue. 

This is nothing new. Ali, by all accounts, was quiet, polite, and respectful away from the cameras.
