Count deegan out in 25 if chance is riding well then......

Chase nailed it on Pulp MX show.

If you choose not to go you miss out the following  year

Maybe my memory is worse than Chase's, but wasn't he offered either a Red or Orange bike to race MXON last year?

Every American wants to race when its on home soil. Many find every excuse when it is not.

But he can leave the flag off the podium and refrain from saying “American boy” in his interviews going forward

Or, he can do whatever he wants since he doesn't need your permission for one damn thing. Deegan can show his age at times, but it's nothing compared to the immaturity of the grown men in this thread throwing tantrums over a rider that they would end up shitting on even if he did go just because he chose to get his wrist fixed instead of racing the MXoN.

Reality is probably that Star wasn’t super stoked to go with one rider, and Deegan sort of kinda wanted to go, but not enough to push Star to send him. I don’t buy that he got an xray the day Tomac backed out. He could easily push surgery back and work on off the bike stuff while it healed and have plenty of time to prep for 250 supercross. He’s racing a regional part time series.

Great.. And now the Deegan reality TV show begins... fast forward 12 months. Deegan spends the whole summer again talking smack to euro riders over seas about being the best. Vocal comments to the press about wanting to race for his country. Drama comes into play if Deegan will race 450 or 250 for Team USA.

Wanting to make a statement on his final 250 ride,. Deegan family pushing the build up hype and a story line of 2025 MXON.  MXON 25 arrives, Deegan wins on debute of mxon on home track and Danger boy becomes the all american hero on Youtube.

I would assume that most here are upset that he isn’t going because he is fast as hell and our best shot at winning. Although, I sure hope Hymas kills it!

USA USA USA!!!

Having hardware removed is a valid and fantastic reason for not going.  Complicating the communication by saying Star made the decision just makes it seem disingenuous.

Keep it simple, which it is.

The conspiracy theories will live on because the anti crowd refuse to believe the truth as its reported because it doesn't fit their anti narrative....This sucks and I do feel that Star is becoming Kawasaki in their MXDN stance....Chase, AP and Chance will be a really good team...Good luck to them!

I think its a mix of that and people that will use any excuse to bag on him. For those people, it's been a bitch of a summer, so they're just lettin loose.

All good here in motoland. I'll watch whoever is racing.

But they’re not.  They would have supported Eli and would also have supported Haiden if he didn’t need surgery.

They seem like a fantastic team to ride for the way they try to take the heat for their riders.

I’m not normally a hater, but I’m going to take the bait on this. The problem isn’t that he backed out because he needs surgery. I totally get that. Moto careers are short and these guys need to prep themselves to make as much money as they can. But you can’t act like Captain America, talk all of this shit, use the flag as a marketing tool, and then bail out of the most American thing your sport has to offer… two years in a row. I love the irony that Hymas is going though. I hope he crushes it. Karma remains undefeated. Deegs is cooked.

Deegan fans don't need to be worried about this one bit, they'll still get to see him wave the flag at SMX.

Sure he can continue to do it, and continue to fuel the people that think everything he does and says is completely fake

Because of the same injury, Haiden came into the 2024 SX season unprepared, and he didn't win the title.  There's no guarantee that he would've without the injury. Tom Vialle #16 earned it.  My hat's off to him!

It would be stupid to enter 2025 unprepared again, especially if it's his last chance to compete for a 250SX title.

I wanted to see Deegan race the Euros this year too, a lot!

But I approve of Deegan's/Star's decision.  All things considered, it would've been stupid to go this year.

Deegan represents an ugly side of US culture that I'm seeing a lot more of in recent years. People like Deegan will wave the American flag when it serves his own interests, but as soon as he has to step up and represent America, he's no where to be seen. Props to Chase, Plessinger, and Hymas. Can't wait to see them line up!

That's the part that has me scratching my head. His wrist isn't bad enough to keep him from racing outdoors & SMX, but it's bad enough that he has to have surgery pronto, or he can't be ready by the first East round in late Feb/early March? If he was racing 450 SX next year, I'd buy it, but this just seems like an excuse to me – and no, I don't think he's scared to race de Wolfe or Coenen, I think he just doesn't want to go to Europe.

I'm not 100% on board that Star is committed to the MXDN...with what they did last year and how they handled Antsie this year...I for the life of me cannot understand why our MXDN effort is such an amateur shitshow year in and year out....I said it last year and I'll say it again the AMA needs to get the teams to commit in January on whether or not they will support it, put a budget together for rider/team costs and start raising money through team sponsors, commit 50 cents of each ticket sold at SX/MX and SMX to help with the budget that in itself would raise over $400K! but no we sell jerseys online and hold a golf tourney like we're raising money for a fucking travel hockey team......Mind blowing! I mean if Matthes can raise $130K+ for the privateer challenge he does through a bike raffle then why can't the AMA or whoever raise anything close for the MXDN? It seriously boggles my mind...total fucking incompetence! Rant over... good luck team USA!

Deegan would 1-1 at MXDN and absolutely crush De Pup and 2 Coenens at the same time.

We have a team.  I'm behind them 100%.  I do hope we can get back on track of announcing the team at Unadilla.

I'm trying to be an adult and not judge folks by my personal yardstick.  The Deegans have a right to play the game any way they want.  Others play it different and I'm grateful to them.  (My wlife would say that's passive/aggresive).  🙃

I would just like to not be misled by these riders and teams.
I am not buying that there is a new X-ray taken that has tipped the scales and he’s not going based upon a recent consult with a doctor. If as Deegan has said this is about 2025 readiness then withdraw your name earlier. It appears this was all about “sending a winning team”, and when Eli bowed out Deegan did the same.
Either that or Star is the new Kawi and just won’t support the event and will use any convenient excuse.

Bobby pulls the strings and runs the team like a business, if he isn't making money on it he's not doing it weather the riders want to go or not.

Deegan would NOT beat Herlings, Prado, Gasjer or even Sexton. Be real now...

MXdN you just never know what may happen on that day. This team looks good to me. Two experienced riders and one rookie.

Let’s goooooo!

I assume he won’t be riding smx, if the new x ray showed an issue.
