I’m a fan of Triumph and want them to succeed. This signing seems like it’s coming from the same team place as the Ferry and Savatgy signings, and it screams “let’s light $250k on fire.” I’d rather them put that money into the team than waste it on a dude sitting at home.

You keep dodging the question.  Who is available that you’d hire???

Triumph has been around since the early 1900's. They're roughly a $1bil/yr company... You're concerned for their continued success after giving a racer in a very small/niché sport a contract that we know nothing about?

You and Triumph are absolutely free to light as much money on fire as you please. Doesn’t mean I have to think it’s a good idea.

I haven’t dodged this question. I’ve answered it twice. My first choice would have been Adams, my second choice would be waiting a year for more of the paddock’s contracts to end, and not lighting $250k on fire. Nothing to me says they absolutely must hire someone. They have Smith and Swoll.

I already agreed it would be a good choice for both parties if he signs with Triumph. Y'all just can't handle MY OPINION that I think he needs to retire because of all his crashes, literally every year since he's started. Its not like its a small crash or tip over and he's fine. These are injury inducing crashes he has. Its not like its bad luck, its self inflicted at this point. Its a pattern with him. But he needs new scenery.

You're right they do, but a healthy forrkner is faster indoors than either guy, and I like both of them.

Of course the key is healthy.

I hope its true. If he's not going to retire (I think he should), he needs to at least change teams. New scenery is always good when coming off a slump. Unfortunately his "slump" has lasted since he became pro. Triumph can take him and he can be their problem. Kawasaki and Mitch have done enough catering to him.

Yet here you are, projecting your own shit onto the man in the arena.

You are welcome to your opinion. It may be worthwhile to keep it yourself more often, and maybe even going as far as to sit and ask yourself if it’s serving you.

It’s all perspective.

One could easily say that God was trying to get him to crash and hit his head hard enough to get ct scans done. Then they could've removed his AVM years ago..

There’s a part of me that wants to see Austin “Capture the Flag” for the Paytons…

But, if he gets an amazing offer from Bobby…AND if he likes the bike?

More power to him.

All the while…as a dude that goes by “TeamGreen”…I’m all about ProCircuit Monster Kawasaki Kicking Ass in 2025 and I’d be extremely stoked if Austin was a part of it.

I’m jus’ saying’…

Manny

We align on this perfectly

Drew is a great signing for an established team. Like 99% of the guys out there he will show rookie flashes in 25, win races and contend in 26 and in 27 he will be championship ready. Austin is the favorite or if he is on the same coast as Deegs be 1b in the first race of the season. But maybe you know more than the morons running Triumph........... Oh wait, it's a who's who of moto success running that team. Nevermind.

Can you tell me where I said that he'd have more points. He may only end up with 78 points, but it would be from 3 wins.

Win ads are way better than "solid ride ads."

Adam’s is not available.  They want bikes on the track and could give two shits about what you think they should do with their money and seem to be just fine with paying whatever it is to have Swoll and Savatgy out there.  I firmly believe that a motorcycle company that has been in the business as long as they have know quite a bit more about marketing and ROI strategies than you.

Nothing against swoll, but I’d love to see Triumph get an A+ rider. Forkner is a risk but it could pay off, I’d gamble it.

Podium of late isnt A+.?

He's won 12 Supercross mains.... name one current 250 rider that has.

That arlington crash was a miracle in disguise, yes the crash was ugly, yes we don’t want him to get hurt again, but we will be able to have him with us for a lot longer now that he got that surgery done. Who knows what would have happened if he didn’t, only God and maybe Austin and his family know that.

He means that has 12 main wins alone like Forkner. All their main event wins combined maybe add up to Forkners total.

Neither Savatgy or Ferry have the talent of Forkner. He has talent that is very rarely seen.

this version on triumph,  often referred to as HInkley triumph date back to the mid 80's,   when John Bloor bought the rights from the receivers of the original,

Ok, so you basically demanded that I give you my opinion, and now you're saying my opinion didn't matter to begin with. Why bother asking for it?...

Whichever team puts Austin on a 450 is the one that is going to benefit the greatest.  Forkner needs a bike he can't ride wide open at all times - will teach him the control he struggles with, and make him the champion he was born to be.
