Think it’s more just interesting to learn what’s going on with the industry as a whole. Thor cutting budgets while FXR goes after a championship contender is kind of interesting news to me

Not addressing sspecific posts here, bUT it is iinteresting if a gear deal or eenergy drink deal hampers nnegotiations for a new ride.

Because MX gear fashion has always been part of motocross and supercross lifestyle!

How about Dylan Ferrandis? There was talk him taking Craigs bike at Husky but now talks Husky taking less riders.

He just said on LeBigUSA (the only french media covering the sx/mx) that he was approached by "some" factory teams.

Way earlier this year (beginning of the sx or after a few races) Marvin Musquin said on the DV Talks podcast that Ferrandis was talking with Husqvarna, so I'd put my money on Husqvarna but he is for sure not retiring

Where did you hear that? Every post about Craig in this thread is saying HEP is his most likely landing spot.

Craig would be on the Twisted side if it went through and would have to wear Fly. Also, unless I'm wrong here, Craig had a two year deal with Fox which expires at the end of this year.

Thanks for the info ML, I thought he would want to be with fox for the rest of his career, if not for another season.

Well, sometimes, you don't have a choice.

If Craig had no other viable options, do you think that Fox would release him?  I can’t imagine that they would want to keep him if he didn’t have a ride, but maybe they would.

Matthes mentioned a month or so back that there was/is a possibility that Craig goes back to Star in a testing/racing capacity. I think Craig was even on the line at the time?

Team Husqvarna is not anymore an option for 2025.

The Racerx review pod made it sound like some of his salary may come from Deegan to be his riding/life coach. Makes sense seeing how the Craigs are good friends with Haiden.

Question would be then, does Christian get to be a full time 450 racer or is he just going to be a test rider/fill in guy if one of the other 450 guys gets hurt?

Seems like he's done well for himself, but life coach? If he can actually land that job maybe I need to give him more credit.

I debated whether to include "life".

Perhaps more like "perspective coach", ..."calming influence"..."man friend" ? 😀

I will be riding my GasGas 300EX at select MX and GP races locally.  My 2020 DRZ125 will be my steed for all the local pit bike action.  2004 KX250 will be ridden at some Vintage Events.  I will be in FLY gear because you can get it so cheap and will be using EVS protective gear.

That makes sense. Christian is "done" as a consistent top-5 factory rider. But, he is talented and could be a great asset to Haiden developing a bit more maturity.

Maybe Christian is in at star as a tester & racer replacing cooper. Doesn’t look like cooper is going to hit his auto renew on his contract & he’s not making what he’s worth so possibility he’s off to somewhere else? Also he’s a 3rd rider could potentially become a higher priority somewhere else.

I thought it was all but confirmed JCoop was going back to star next year. If he goes to make room for Craig that would be a bummer but I guess that shows how much pull Deegan has within the team.

Also, on a pulp show earlier in the year I could have sworn there was some scuttle about the Deegan family starting their own program and leasing star equipment. Would allow for a lot more freedom with sponsors which I’m sure he’s not lacking at all. Wonder what ever happened with that?

I think the Deegan team thing was all a hypothetical.

Could see it happening at some point when he’s on a 450.

If Star cuts Jcoop, I will seriously question on what they expected from him. Hes been riding really good, i would’ve thought it woulda been a no doubter to re sign him…

Almost seems as if they set him up with some crazy un realistic expectations so he wouldn’t re sign.

He's remaining at Star next year.

His arm used to be a lot worse, i’m glad he’s getting better results which means he’s gaining strength. Being a top 10 guy in 450’s is still no joke.

I now wonder if Justin Cooper stays and if Monster Energy / Star Racing / Yamaha will run a 3-4 man team of 2-Webb, 3-Tomac, 32-Cooper, and maybe 28-Craig? Man... 2025 Silly Season is getting weird.
