Weege was right.  Fast rider with lots of talent.

At this point, his career path reminds me of Broc Hepler or Scott Sheak.
Not Kyle Regal..

Kyle Regal?? I would never compare him to Regal. Regal had talent and speed. His problem was motivation. He definitely lacked that. Too bad because all he earned was an arenacross title.

Ty does not lack in motivation. He's been driven for many years, with untimely injuries and lack of great race bikes since Star.

Hepler had huge press and hype coming in. Deservedly so, but the injuries and especially concussions prematurely ended a possible great racing career.

I do believe if Ty can somehow stay with PC or at least sign with a good team, he has a bright future. He's young enough, driven and talented. He needs additional guidance on SX. With the right team and teammates, he can improve his results in SX. But with the same effort outdoors, the skies the limit for him. Could he battle for a championship? He could. He'll have to contend with Deegan, Hymas, Shimoda, Vialle and others like Beaumer coming up. But he has race wins in him for sure. I truly hope he's given a chance to either stay PC or another factory effort. He needs that extra 3 to 5% a team could give him, training and mentally to push him to believe he's "that guy".

It's already been reported he has a full deal with PC for 2025.

He doesn’t remind me of anyone really. He is super unique. Helper was way better at SX, never lost his factory gig.

Ty is a cool story, lots of cool chapters yet to be written.

Great news.  I'm sure he'll work his butt off to be a top 5 , podium guy in sx, and an outdoor contender.  Like most young guys he needs that consistency.

Ty Davis, maybe not quite as fast? And Davis was good at SX.

he came off the gate top 3, went down early in moto 1, charged back up to 8th i think, went down again, charged back up to 9th. Impressive comebacks.

If dude keeps it on two wheels he would be top 5 every week and competing for wins if he gets the start. It's been awesome watching him all summer. Anytime he gets a bad start or goes I watch the running order to see how far he can climb back up in each moto.

Props to Marchbanks too on a great debut with PC yesterday

Ty is one of the best stories of the summer. There is a lot of upside with signing him. If they can get him to stay in California and train with the team for SX, I think it’s safe to say that huge gains will be made.

Still can’t believe the dude won an overall, plus another moto, and he still hasn’t been brought onto the Pulp show this summer.

If Bob Hannah…from a trailer in Bean Canyon went racing…today…?

He’d be Ty.

Period.

Ty is going to hit the podium next year in SX at least once and he’ll win more outdoors next year barring injury.

I can’t overstate the impact of testing this offseason on private Kawasaki tracks chasing around proven winners like the rest of the team.

Mitch has done a superb job remaking his team for the future while still staying loyal to his old guys.

It would do Ty some good to leave the nest and work with PC next year at the test track. Kid has so much talent and determination but working with a trainer for SX might be his best bet.

If he is like anyone, it’s Doug Henry. Their careers pretty much mirror each other at this point.

He reminds me a little bit if Sean Hamblin and Weston Peick. All have capitalized on a great opportunity!

He did 3 weeks this summer and it helped him dial the bike. I am sure he’ll be in California for a huge chunk of boot camp. The only one that gets to avoid a full California boot camp is Levi I think.

Like you, I agree he needs it and it’s going to do wonders.

Hopefully if any of them are healthy.

I’m rooting for Ty but Mitch is not above criticism for signing mcadoo forkner and hammaker year after year.  His best signings have been shimoda, Ty and Kitchen. Ty and Jo fell into his lap due to injuries.
