I always do a lap around the inside and outside of the fence. Watching the off camber side of the hill  makes it worth the walk!

I usually stand near the finish line but I might take a walk over there this year as well. I miss that step down they used to have before that turn.

With all the college students that showed up with coolers before it was always funny to see them passed out and sunburned to hell laying there along the fence.

I'm such a pussy these days at partying I get a slight hang over just seeing people party that hard .

Amen Brother.....   I spent an evening once with my Son and his college buddies having a care free partied up night one weekend last summer, and damn I felt like an artifact.....  I knew that my fun days of being care free had passed the moment some little fucker asked me what it was like to drive a car without power steering.  So, to get even, I waited till the little shit passed out in a lawn chair, then let the air out his tire on his rig to see if he could figure out how to change a flat....    Several hours later, it took 4 of them to get a handle on the problem.  I just sipped my morning coffee, laughed, and stood staring out my window with a statement going through my brain over, and over again......

This is the elite generation that is supposed to take care of me one day......

After 45 minutes of coffee, English muffin, several laughs, I caved.  Seeing these lads standing, hungover, confused, some clothing on wrong side out,  all while trying to read an a Jeep owners manual in the morning sun on how to change a flat, I emerged with a small air compressor.  You would have thought I was Superman himself.  One messy haired idiot said to my Son, "Dude, your Dad is so smart, bro..."

The older I get, the more I see, we are so fucked...........

Lastly, I was asked, "Sir, sorry about your carpet, can I bum some Advil?"

You got so butthurt because a kid asked you "what it was like to drive a car without power steering" that you let the air out of his tire?

What a douche.

It was all in good fun, everyone laughed their asses off.....  no harm at all.  It was all taken as the old timer got one by the kids.  We still joke about it to this day

The ironic thing about that is based on pictures I’ve seen you would have zero idea a motocross track even existed on that property now.  So essentially, these environmental warriors want us to believe that we’re doing irreparable damage to the environment by riding our dirtbikes (on dirt. . .), yet in a span of under 10 years nature has completely taken over the landscape again leaving essentially no trace of what once happened there.  How the hell does that square with any kind of logic?

Spending a few hours out in the sun when you have access to shade and cooled beverages in order to watch the unique sport that you supposedly love shouldn’t be a hassle.

It’s cool watching on TV, and you already do that for all 30 other rounds in SMX. But if you’re lucky enough to watch a national in person once a year, it’s worth the effort. Most of us who see the national in person rewatch the race on peacock once we get home to see all the angles we missed.

if you’re a true moto fan it’s a no brainer, support the sport and watch it with your own eyes while you can. Tomorrow is never promised.

RIGHT ON, that's the moto spirit

They claimed erosion was a problem.

Another reason why I quit going.  I don’t mind the $60 as much as all the BS fee’s they charge.   I know that isn’t on MX Sports but still.  Sheesh.

Looks like there is a chance of a turd floater coming through later today. Better take down that new awning.  https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=39.735164&lon=-80.069803

DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Thunderstorms are possible on Friday along a passing cold front. A few could become strong to severe with hail and damaging straight- line wind as the primary threats.

Rained a couple inches in Philly, then saw it went up to Southwick and even they had to cancel the practice tomorrow. Anyone know if high point got hit?

I live a little north of High Point and we got some rain for about 15 minutes but nothing crazy. Even if it did rain earlier it shouldn’t have been enough to affect the races tomorrow. Practice could possibly be a little wet but I doubt even that. Temperatures should be around 80 and sunny tomorrow so it can’t get much better than that!

I saw pictures of flooded awnings in the pits. Stormed pretty good.

Daughter and I enjoyed the shade up until about 2:15 before the sun reached past the trees overhead.
