Will other manufacturers copy Kawasaki with heavy rebates and low rates. I recall some Gas Gas decent deals on the past, don’t recall rates they offered. On one hand you’d think competition would come to play and others would compete with similar offers. On the other hand volume of dirt bike sales may be small enough competition may not come to play.
When it comes to sales margin is important. There is also a saying in sales, 50 percent of nothing is still nothing. My point being maybe Kawasaki would like to get something instead of nothing. Or it may be as simple they built to many 450’s and need to dump them lol. This 2500 dollar rebate is impressive and 1.95 percent is rare with current rates.
Honda of Houston is advertising Husky 450's at 7,199 while Houston Motorsports have their KX450's at 6,999. There are deals to be had on all brands, but I think the Kawi deal is the best right now.

That’s a deal on both. I’m tempted to see what OTD price is on the KX, my guess another 700 plus’s Tax.
Honda probably can’t do it because they’re going to spend their whole promotional budget on Jett’s race win bonuses. I’m only kinda joking. Honda doesn’t even have any rebates on leftover 2023s.

Someone has to pay those inventory carrying costs. You'd think at some point a dealer would want to dump the '23's if they're still on the sales floor?
Not sure on the sales, but the ‘24 KX got dogged out on reviews (being slightly heavier and mellower than the competition). Probably a reason. It’s a nice bike, just not marketed as thinner, lighter, or faster (which could be what’s selling at the moment). Everyone who’s ridden one loves it though.
What’s funny is most of The weight gained was the new Dunlops they spec’d. Had they just went with pirellis they could have marketed it as lighter and faster.
If it had been even 1-2lbs lighter, the mags would’ve raved at it being lighter slimmer. Even so, I think it’s gaining popularity, since it’s easier to ride and proven reliability.
Sure seems like easy to ride bikes such as 24 KX450 and Beta 450 sure seems to me to carry more weight than years past. Seems like in the past it was alway lightest, fastest/best handling. Now it seems easy to ride/handling to be much more important. Or maybe the light just off for me lol!

Speaking of rebates a few weeks ago Langston was advertising 7200 24 yz250fs after 2-3 days asking about a otd price and getting the run around sales man finally told me 9800. No idea where the 7200 went
Just picked up a 24 Kx450x with the rebate from Power Motorsports in Oregon for $7200 otd and they have the standard Kx450 for $6999 otd. If anyone's looking for a new Kx, I think these are the best deals going right now. Motosport Hillsboro also has the same deal
Back in 2019 I was looking for a 450fx and they had one listed super cheap like that. I called and the otd price was $3,000 higher than the advertised price.
Yamaha now offers $1000 customers cash on yz450, $750 on some other models!

That a deal! They have two listed at price on their website. 250 for the same price.
Pretty sure Yamaha’s not struggling as much to sell YZFs.

I called up RideNow in Vista, to ask what their OTD for a KX250 was and they quoted me $8400 -- like really? They're just going to swallow the whole rebate? I guess I appreciate the honestly as I'll never buy a buy a bike from them.
If there's one thing I can tell you about Houston Motorsports is they're going to advertise a low price, then jack you in the ass with some extremely inflated freight/prep charges. I would expect that KX to be close to $10k OTD. If they tell you otherwise over the phone, expect that to increase significantly when you show up in person.
In my opinion, worst shop to do business with in the Houston area since new ownership. There's 2 people left in that shop from old ownership and I genuinely feel bad for what they're having to endure over there.
Langston did the same thing to me. Poway is a great Austrian dealer in SoCal, his listed prices are otd plus tax.
Ride Now in Austin Tx did the same thing last year on a 2023 Kx 250. Had it advertised for $ 5650 and would not give me otd price over the phone. Finally about 3 hours later someone call me back and quoted me like 8400 otd. 😂
was hoping the local YZ dealer would start cutting deals...anybody have a clue what the "RL" means? It looks like same price as regular 250YZ

Deals in Houston are few and far between. It’s just life in the big city.
Man, if you could hold out 4-6 months or so, there will be crazy good deals on most of the ‘24s.
The "RL" is just the designator suffix for the 2024 model year.
2023 was "PL" - they don't use Q.
I think that’s what I’m going to do, wait till Oct or Nov. That will give me time to flip a trail bike I never ride. Hopefully there will be a deal on Beta 450 RX or KX450 in the fall.
They sell them Kawis cheap so you can afford all the Heli Coil kits your gonna need to keep them going.
