Hard to beat Munn Racing just north of Waco for good people and rider support
Second Munn Racing, I travel from central Arkansas for all my new bike purchases and online sales for parts.
Big Country Powersports, Magnoilia Texas a little north of Houston. Beta, Sherco dealer. They have good techs that can work on anything. I know the owner, good guy shoots straight. As much as I like Honda and Yamaha I’ll buy Beta or Sherco as long as Ronnie Jones is in Business.

Been said twice in first 4 .. MUNN RACING in Waco !!!! Chip Munn and Big Dan are two of the finest people you'll meet in moto, and in general. Their support is first class !! Go to Munn ,,you won't be disappointed
I will put forth KTM of North Texas as one of the best dealerships and service departments in the nation! owned, ran, and serviced by riders and racers. They keep parts stocked and will give you their honest recommendations as opposed to making a sale just for the Cash. Go see Todd or Bert up there. if they aren't there the other folks are great too. No side by sides, no boats! just bikes
Maxim Honda in Allen. Best in TX.
Agreed. I am heading over to get a MX34 installed on my 300RX.
Munn of course good ... if you're willing to drive over the border, we've had good luck/experiences with Altus.
TJ’s in Austin always treated me exceptionally well when I lived in Central Texas. Definitely one of the best shops I’ve experienced.
Great places to avoid are all the RideNow and Freedom Powersports dealers in North Texas. They always run $1800-$2000 above what I can buy out of state like Altus, in OK. When I've ever asked about the "factory" rebates being offered by every dealership in the country but them, they reply: "what rebates?", and play ignorant.
Agreed. Looked at a used bike at their store in Mckinney. Sales guy tacked on whatever all sorts of add ons, driving the price well over what a new bike would cost. I have no idea who would buy from them.
I can tell you the Kawi dealership in Austin or Georgetown is trash !!!!!!!!!!!!! Called last year on a 2023 KX 250 listed at $ 5699 and they wanted $ 8900 OTD lol.
Munn Racing, won't find better people or support.
Yeah if he's willing to drive I second Maxim Honda/Yamaha as well as Adventure Moto KTM in McKinney. Both owned by cool off-road guys.
I’m in San Antonio and I’ve gone up to straight line motorsports up by Dallas because they had a way better deal both time I’ve bought a new bike. My 250 was $1k cheaper then TJ’s and Munn.
Cycle Shack North in Conroe is great as well. You can pick up your new bike and head across the highway and ride 3 Palms. They'll also make it a point to beat any deal you'll get from Munn.
Stay away from Classic Powersports in Rockwall. Went to buy a 2024 kx450 a few weeks ago after Kawasaki announced a $1500 rebate on the 450 and they wouldn't honor the rebate. They had 2 on the floor and one in storage and still wanted to $14K OTD. They said they weren't making any money on the deal even though the MSRP is $10,400 without rebates. Also was going to buy my daughter a KLX110 and they were almost $1000 more than Grapevine Powersports. It sucks thats it's my nearest dealer.
Pit Row
KTM of North Texas. I ride a Honda and Kawi, but that’s still my go to shop.
SMS racing/Adventure Moto is another solid dealership.
I've actually felt sorry for their salesmen before. I talked with one that knew I was buying a new KX that day or the next. I was just trying to find a good deal locally if I could. He tried his darn-dest...... but his hands were tied to the sales structure they use which is to try and screw everybody. I doubt true motorcycle guys who have experience buying many bikes over the years go there. But this sales guy called me twice later that day and even the next morning. By then I found my deal and made my purchase. He understood. I'll bet anyone in sales at their dealers don't stay long because their hands are tied as far as dealing and they lose so much commission and sales. It has to be frustrating for them until they leave
How many dealers have I ever been to in Texas?
1 and that is Munn.
For Austrian machines. TJ's in austin is fantastic. Also Munn racing. Both straight shooters
Wild West Motoplex in Katy is under two hours from Austin. #1 Kawasaki dealer in their District. Been there since the 80's and same owner. Super solid dealer with lots of moto history and personnel. They have several other brands and their sister store is Cycle Shack North in Conroe just north of Houston.
If they charged retail and honored the rebate they would still make money.
Never bought from them but heard a lot good about Cycle Shack North in Conroe.
Ross Motorsports in Lufkin has always treated me right too. My wife’s SxS and my 2023 Honda CRF250R both came from Ross. While your waiting for them to bring your new bike around you can look at 120k tournament bass boats…….and see what the poor people are up too…….Texas oil patch money, it’s real.
*pops cherry on new acct* - I bought a ktm 50 last year at Wild West, nice people and honored the rebate, and bought another 50 this year at Cycle Shack North. They wouldn't come off sticker price, and didn't have any rebates this year, but they were nice and they have the largest motocross selection of anywhere in south Texas. They support the scene.
Talk to Chip at Munn in Waco. 1-888-850-7437
Munn racing has solid fair prices.
Great people.
Amy in the office gets the paperwork done fast and correct.
Big Dan and the infamous Sexy J does a great job prepping the bike.
Super knowledgeable guys that do a hell of a job and support the sport.
we have bought the last 5-6 bikes from them.
Ive bought several bikes from KTM of North Texas.
I shopped around DFW and they have the best prices. Dealing with them has always been easy and they have the most KTM Group bikes of any dealership Ive ever seen. They also have tons of inventory on parts, aftermarket and oem.
Adventure Moto guys in Mckinney are cool, but havent bought a bike off them.
Munn has a good reputation and by far has the most trackside support Ive ever seen. I dont know how they turn a profit lugging that rig to the races.
Al Lamb's Honda is a cool dealership. They are deep into world landspeed records and flat track racing. But, im not a Honda guy so havent ever bought from them.
FYI OP - Straight Line is aka KTM of North Texas
