Update: The dealership (who is being very cool and helpful about all this) went through all the TPS numbers again with the KTM tech on the phone. We tried swapping my ECU with a 25 gasgas ECU at the track and rode both bikes with swapped ECUs. My bike continued to cut out and the 25 gasgas rode fine with...

Update after plugging it in there were a couple TPS numbers that were off, but that did not fix the problem. Checking fuel pressure next.

Add voltage regulator and battery to your possible causes. I can’t imagine those would be bad at 0 hours but it’s possible I guess.

Well this is a timely post. We actually have two 24.5 MC250Fs. Our older one fires right off, runs like a top and never has a hiccup. Our newer one takes longer to start and is doing similar to what you’re describing. I’ve checked and adjusted the tps voltage and checked the fuel filter. We always run good fuel so that’s not an issue so I’m assuming it’s an ecu/mapping problem. I ordered a vortex from xpr as I’ve had good results with them in the past. Hopefully that solves our issues. Bikes are just like cars and trucks now...

Anyone heard of this issue: I have a new 2024.5 Gasgas 250 FE that cuts out when “bogging”. Example: Say I’m trying to roll through a corner in 3rd and end up stuffing it in a hook at the end and dump the throttle and the thing cuts in and out and sputters like it’s running out of gas. I...

For awhile there 23/24 Yamaha seemed to have some motor issues both 450/250 wise. From what I’ve seen the 25 450s seem to be holding up better. Can the same be said for the 25 250s?

I’ve been setting my forks at 3mm. Here is a little trick I use to measure it. Just lay a 3mm Allen wrench on top of the triple clamp ( or whatever you are setting it at). Easy to get correct.

Aside from spokes, chain, etc. I usually just grab a socket and walk around the bike with each size, but I’m assuming there’s a smoother more efficient way of doing it. Can’t help but think I miss a bolt or two when I just go random. Curious anyone has like an order of operations “bolt checklist” for going through the...

I recently did one of these for the 23-24 KTM and ended up needing to do one for the 23-24 YZ450F. I figured I would post this one here seeing as a few people needed the last one.

This is just bench racing so don't burn me at the stake. To avoid the wet Supercross races and hot Motocross nationals what if they switched the series? Motocross: February - April Start in the dryer, southern states and finish in the northern states in the spring. Avoid the heat and honestly if it does rain i'd rather have an...

Bringing the endless debate back up, but I’m a long time simple green guy. For those saying it’s not hard on things I agree with metals, but the last couple years I started using a weed sprayer to apply my cut 50:50-25:75 simple green to water ratio. I have gone through a couple sprayers and they always end up to...

Been wearing just typical throw away construction grade ones for 10 yrs. I can’t ride without them now. Helps me focus and relax. You still can hear plenty around you.
I’m actually currently in one of those seasons myself man and I’ve been here before. My only advice is just to mix things up. If you have the budget having a 450 and 250 is nice because you always have something new under your feet. I personally think a 250f is the funnest dirt bike to ride. You also can...

I am the store manager of Kent Motorsports/35 North Honda in New Braunfels, TX right in I35, half way between Austin, and San Antonio-we sell new GasGas's and Honda's, all brands used, and we try our best to have very competitive prices, common parts needed in stock, and we have a tiered Rider Support Program to help with the cost of parts/accessories, along with being very fair on trade in values. We are out at the local tracks almost every Sunday with a fleet of new demo bikes from 450's down to pit bikes for riders to "try before they...
