Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
No. Better at sx.
I believe his improved technique lends itself well to better outdoor results. He has shown speed outdoors plenty of times but consistency and other factors effected his results.
His trajectory seems more aligned with the 250's this summer but I am not going to be that guy and say he can't do it.
Confirmed McGrath back for outdoors

Masterpool would be by far the best choice. Already racing the KX last year and currently, plus seems to be one of those riders that excels at 450 outdoors more than anything else. Noren would be the next best bet. If Forkner is coming back, not sure how critical it is for Pro Circuit to have 5 riders outdoors in the 250s. A wildcard would be to have them loan Seth Hammaker for a summer on the 450 depending on what they expect out of him on the 250.
Legit shot to win outdoors? Not a chance. 250 regional sx, sure. When's the last time he ran up front outdoors? Yes, I know about the injuries. But you would think you would see some flashes of winning speed. Vialle, Deegan, and Kitchen will blow his doors off. Shimoda too
Bubba Stewart just asked me to hold his beer.
He had to take a leak.
Would mcadoo do it?
Macadoo would be my choice.
but also. Forkner has a clause in his contract that secures his 450 ride. Does he take it now while there’s a spot.. and Prado takes El Hombre’s seat.
Forkner doing outdoors on a 450 seems like the most logical considering how much he has spoken about wanting to go 450 next year
Im sure you know he would have to perform to secure the 450 ride. He hasn’t and in turn has stayed on the 250.
Agree on most cases.. but forkners contract guarantee‘s his a 450 seat regardless of performance. He gets 1 year on the 450, that year will determine if he keeps his Kawi spot or not.
AF might be better on the 450 but it would be tough for him to get ready fast enough to do well this summer. Won't happen.
Anderson has a contract at Kawi thru 2025.
Yep, and so is Prado’s.
forkner takes AC’s seat.
prado takes El hombres
Silly me, I thought Prado was coming over next year. Hence, I’m the confused one!
That's a Vital insider for sure.
Mcadoo 450 outdoors back on 250 for 2025 could work
Baggett
Pit Row
Yeah, honestly, you've seen him get destroyed on the 250, wtf do you think is going to happen on a 450?
Forkner getting destroyed has come down to bad luck, never lack of skill or talent. I’m a big Masterpool and Freddy fan, but if anyone thinks they would be faster/have better results than a healthy Austin Forkner on a factory KX 450, Ill take that wager anyday.
Mitch Evans
Harri Kullas ran up front with stock Yamaha. He is free to ride all Nationals this year.
Would PC be happy for that, what's in it for them?
He isn't a top 20 at the moment.
Matty B has been testing Kawi’s lately….
Let’s make it real interesting and throw Febvre in there.
Yeah yeah I know he’s got another job to do at the moment, but I’d love to see it.
The only two realistic options i feel are Austin Forkner and Ty Masterpool
but really only one: Ty Masterpool
Austin Forkner has clearly been taken care of by Kawi/ PC and I imagine they are wanting him to take the spot. But he's recovering from yet another injury, and has little ride time so I dont see him being even a top 10 threat at any point during the season, nor do would wager he makes it to the end of the season healthy. Guys who get consecutive injuries have much longer to recover than most ppl realize. Roczen is finally looking like himself and its been how many years since his arm?
Ty Masterpool on the other hand, is healthy, was a top 10 threat last year already (on a Kawi) has been racing this year (on a kawi) and has proven himself as a factory rider before at Star and a 450 threat in last years outdoors. Idk if a factory bike would propel him to a podium as a 450 doesnt offer the gains a 250 does. but a stable program at least makes it easier and he already has the resume
and I dont see Kawi not fielding two riders when there is still the whole outdoors and SMX finales to run. a lot will depend on their personal desire and contract obligations. and since they have a 2 months notice to hire someone, vs hiring in the middle of the season with a week prep time, its at least a prime opportunity to hire
Wilson?
Wilson is done with racing the nationals. His knees are shot, and he can no longer take the abuse.
you guys are acting like Austin is a shitty outdoor rider lol. Hes never really been able to get a solid base to come into outdoors recently. In 2022 he raced pala and was top 5 but had to sit out cause his collarbone wasn’t fully recovered from the Jett cross jump. Ran a very solid P4 at Budds last year, then a come through the field P4 at Ironman Moto 1 last year aswell. He was just starting to get the ball rolling when the season ended.
