He’s back. And right in the championship hunt. Field might be in big trouble. First several rounds before he found his form was their chance to get a solid lead in the championship.
I think he's actually a bit miffed at Jett's recent comments more than anything. Good to see Beast Mode is back!
His post race comments were a bit more aggressive than the usual ET stuff.
He was way faster than anyone on that track. Riding pissed sure helped after his tip over. Seems the "Beast Still Lives".

Of course he does, he even took a page out of my playbook once:

Its odd that he was "soo off" 2 weeks ago, to "so on" this race. Its good, just odd.
Eli's history of come through the pack rides has made him one of the most entertaining racers ever. Great to see that spark again, hope we see it for the rest of the season.
He's one bad day away from being in 7th place again.
Or one good day away from being 3rd.
Notorious bad starter Mike Larocco, so-so starter Bob Hannah, Blake Baggett, and Eli are my top four "beast mode" riders.
Maybe.
Tomac been doing this since he and Roczen were battling in the 250’s. It’s been a pleasure to watch both of them. Competitors push ET3 in fafo mode and it will be a good year for fans of SX.
They repeated multiple times they made some progress bike testing. Great ride!
That's some serious progress. Even so, Eli has had a history of taking a few races to get going (for whatever reason).

Almost all the current racers and retired hero's check this site out - it's like watching a train wreck and you hate yourself for doing it but you can't seem to look away
hahaha
They all do. All the time. And some post. Hi fellas. (Just because your profession is our hobby, doesn't mean you are God's- although I'm sure most of you are pretty good lads. Peace)
Hey Eli if you're reading this, I hope you win this championship. Prob last season.
Pit Row
Tomac!!!!!! "i'm tired of people calling me the old guy".
Eli....hoping you get that 3rd title.
If not you, then Webb....that's where I stand.
No he doesn’t, someone that’s close to him does though and showed him “look at what these idiots said isn’t that laughable?!”
Isn’t it crazy how you can literally see it when Beast Mode engages? His whole body position changes, he scrubs like Bubba. and he enters corners standing on the pegs fully committed. First time I remember seeing it was Southwick 2012 and it looks so incredible every time. Truly one of the greatest to ever throw a leg over!
Especially how Hunter was saying that Jett caught and passed Eli straight up, that was a little cringe, that was the real Eli. Tonight was the real Eli and he was going to the front. Had he not gone down early he would've won, even with that bad start. We'll see if this will be a every weekend thing again after Daytona.
Pretty sure he's said in interviews it's his brother that gets on here and tells him about shit people say.
Picking up speed just in time for Daytona baby
Jett just may get what he's been asking for. Beast mode Tomac isn't something that's going to be good for Jett's ego. Don't get me wrong....Jett should have an ego and confidence but I don't think he ACTUALLY wanted Beast mode.
A2 last main it was so obvious as well. Even just compared to the first two mains of the night he just looked like a different rider
Daytona has been Tomac's playground for years. I think it'll suit Jett as well. Gonna be interesting for sure!
I thought it was a dig at matthes. He’s been saying how beast mode is gone, he doesn’t have the speed anymore and isn’t in the championship fight. But the Lawrence angle makes sense as well.
loved his podium interview, dude was fired up.
It was totally a shot at Steve. Steve said that Eli has transitioned into like 2009 Windham or some ridiculous comparison
If Eli doesn't race MX again, as seems to be the plan, Daytona is the closest to an outdoors MX race against Jett we'll see. Really looking forward to seeing Eli getting on form yesterday for this matchup.
