Guy just comes in and seamlessly does an awesome job like he’s been doing it forever. There’s no excuse for him to not at least have a permanent spot in the rotation.

Someday NBC and FELD and whomever the hell else matters and is involved with the decision will realize Weege and Daniel Blair is the booth ninja team they need.

Who was in broadcasting that decided Americans like British speaking broadcasters in sports?

And still, Weege pursued the legacy of the "blue Yamahas" every time we saw a black Star Bike...

Should Will do as Lewis: transcript her comments?

Weege & Blair would be the perfect team…but something tells me there’s bad blood between the network and DB.

Weege is so damn good because he is a moto encyclopedia. He called those races damn near perfect last night. He gets you up on the edge of your seat, which is what we need!!@

I agree. Weege needs to be in the booth every race.

From time to time I have been critical, but man I would put him right up there with the best. Strong voice, humor, knows the sport inside and out.

My dream team would be Weege and JT in the booth with Blair on the floor.

Good thing there aren't any British commentators!

I have no problem with Leigh, but Weege is top tier.

And what about Justin Brayton?

I’m still mourning the departure of Blair, every time the show starts and I’m reminded of who is in the booth. Good god I was excited for Weege tonight, and boy was he good.

He is the perfect blend. Brilliant as usual. Finally!!!

Weege was great! And I feel like RC was much better with Weege in the booth. RC fed off Weege much better than with Leigh.

I hope we can get this combo every race in 2025....with some Bubba sprinkled in too...or permanently.

Weege/James in the booth, and Blair trackside would be my picks.

Weege was beast mode from the first minute.  He's a JMB completely fluid.   He's a KW doesn't even appear to be trying.

Personally I like Diffey a lot but Weege was excellent last night and he should be given the job next year imho.

Weege does indeed rule. I’m not surprised at all but I just wonder how the powers that be can’t see it too

Weege was attached to the outdoor series so naturally the SX broadcast team would never associate with anyone from that side of the sport. With the recent merger and them finally realizing that the same people watch both SX and MX, Weege is finally getting his shot.

I think what makes Weege great is that he isn’t a moto guy turned TV guy. He went to university for Public Relations and it shows when he’s speaking to an audience. The cherry on top for us is that he is an absolute student of the sport and knows the history as well as damn near ever rider in paddock, pros and privateers alike, from the past 30 years.

One last thing I thought was cool to hear was that he is genuinely just a well rounded guy. He could’ve easily shit talked Feld or this entire side of the sport for seemingly blackballing him for no real reason but he’s always been the bigger guy and never burned a bridge. This past week he texted DB and thanked him personally which I thought was nice. He said “Before I get swallowed up by the weekend, thank you. I wouldn’t be here if you didn’t quit a job nobody quits.”

He did well on RaceDayLive, so just keep him in that position.

Its a no brainer to have him there. He know the sport extremely well and he knows the riders and he can talk good.

Agreed, he is the best person you could possibly put in the booth as a non-racer commentator. Been around the sport longer than most, super knowledgeable, fluent and stupid talented at what he does.
