What do you guys opt for at rainy races for spectating? I’ve got a fox rain coat that must be 20+ years old. Living in so cal it hasn’t gotten a lot of use over the years so I’ve got that to keep me dry up top. Wondering if I should grab something for my legs so my pants don’t get soaking wet Sat night.

Ideally you would want to rain proof that coat seeing as it’s older. That way, the water will just bead right off it. Some good rain boots to keep your feet dry is highly recommended.

Not gonna lie, Zimas were actually pretty good. Lol

One zima, with two shots of bourbon, it's called a hairy snardly. Folks have been drinking those around here for awhile.

Definitely a new jacket. Adding a DWR coating to help the water roll off only helps for maybe 15 mins in heavy rain. Not sure what your budget might be but the Patagonia Torrentshell is as good as it gets for a budget, high quality rain jacket. Runs $179

When it unloaded at Las Vegas in 2016 my buddy and I zipped over before the night show to a nearby Dick's Sporting Goods and bought some clear rain ponchos that were super long. They were cheap and kept us dry, including my legs, and I've used that poncho at Seattle in 2018 as well.  Our only mistake was not buying all of them, we could have made a tidy profit back at the stadium.

I used to drink the F out of those many years ago.

Now I prefer scotch or bourbon or tequila, the good shit.

Yep, got mine ready to go!

Got to the airbnb at Mission Beach and this is my view.

Hope it stays with just light rain, it will be an excellent night of racing.

Pittsburgh 1978 was a real mudder. Hannah crashed twice and still won.  A young guy on a Suzuki showed alot of potential.  This was one of Barnett's first 250 sx races if I recall.

That's when riders didn't whine and complain about the mud and go to the media saying they should have just canceled the race.

I'm not anti Jett at all, but it really sounded like his results contributed to his comments...
