One thing Jett has (aside from riding ability) is a mental maturity.  Pretty sure he was told don't worry about this race. A midpack finish is way better than a DNF. If you're doing well, great, but if not, it'll be shit for everyone else too. Don't DNF and worse yet don't get hurt, long season. It appears he actually listens to his mentors.

TM

So you made up an entire conversation you envisioned them having and then gave him credit for following the advice had in that imaginary conversation?

Dude Jett fans are next level

Obviously Jett’s not a mud rider.  Probably not many mudders in Australia

You’re forgetting about the time he spent living in the attic of a race shop with the squirrels so he could race MXGPs.  I bet I could find a video in the Feld archives where they speak about the adversity at length.  I heard he didn’t have a crib, so he slept in a manger.

Pretty confident MXGP riders typically have a fair amount of mud experience.

Hunter was the 1st to be lapped.

Now let's have a 5 page discussion to determine if that was hunters 1st race or 2nd?

Not 2nd race.   Hunter was gifted last night by the officials.    He shoulda been in the LCQ after bypassing the whoops multiple laps.

Ha!   I still have my Evel Knievel bike...   Evel and the windup part are long gone though.   The gears inside that poor toy are all messed up.   I used to launch that toy off some "crazy" jumps.

Exactly....the amount of posts on Vital complaining about the "over exposure" or their lack of results when they do not do well does not help at all, they complain a lot about the "fanbois" yet the anti ones are the ones doing a lot of the posting about the Lawrences...it is acatully quite funny

think I am wrong? go into any threads for the races this weekend and count up the "fanbois" comments vs the anti ones....then ask yourself who should STFU about them

I am a Sexton fan, but I respect the Lawrences race craft and the Honda team, it seems the anti ones cannot

Deegs will be out there soon and everyone can bag on him and his dad

I think you're missing the point that they are making fun of their super fans that were claiming last week that he was going to break MC's record...which he may do but to talk about it after his first win was just dumb.....if you're going to dish it out when he does well then you have to be able to accept the crap when he doesn't.

Got any examples of some of these superfan posts claiming this, or it the Mandella Effect?

Happy to see some...no I'm not going to search for them.

I mean there's that thread yes.  But all I read was discussion that it's beatable and the OP would have to have been joking.

I think the win record is beatable for sure....but I'm in the "crazy to be talking about it this early" camp.

I think Jett is an excellent rider and the future of the sport. He is amazing to watch.

However, I enjoy the creativity behind some of the satirical statements in relation to the over-saturation of his talent/ability/story within the broadcast, media and fan comments etc.

Anyways, a great win for Jett Lawrence’s ex-teammate last night.

Hunter was the 1st to be lapped.

Now let's have a 5 page discussion to determine if that was hunters 1st race or 2nd?

@Magoofan You keep repeating this and you still haven’t answered my question in the other thread, so I’ll try here:

The broadcast showed Hunter ride along side the whoops twice; the first time he got squirrelly and went over a tuff block. The second time we don’t see the cause of the off track excursion, but he loses two positions in the process.

Now please explain to me how Hunter was making up time and was gifted by the officials?

RC and Duff man were instructed not to Notice that the cash cow was getting lapped by his biggest rival. because you know, RC would be talking about "confidence" and "statement ride" on behalf of sextons if RC wasn't worried about losing his seat to James Bubba Stewart and his Dreads (tm)

I don’t have a dog in this fight, but every time I go to Australia, I noticed their vehicles have snorkels about 6 feet up. So, it’s quite possible they hang out 6 feet underwater? I don’t know.
There’s also many signs warning you about crocodiles, so I’m not going in the water looking for them.
I do suspect they know how to play in the mud.

I wouldn't exactly call him a terrible mud rider. That was an crazy sx mudder. He's got time to improve I guess. Didn't RC get lapped by Everts in '98 at the MXdN?

Sorry, I have not seen your questions or posts on this to me, I was not ignoring you.         It was all over the broadcast, I think it was even mentioned in the broadcast.   Lots of people agreed it was BS in the night show thread.    Him cutting the whoops was gaining time....I believe that's in the rule book.

No since continuing the discussion on it,  It's not going to change.    He got away with it...where Friese (rightfully) got docked.

It looks bad on the officiating staff.

On that note,  I went for a nice ride today to break in my new front sneaker...      Blessed to live in San Diego.

People don't like to talk about 98 or the fact it took RC a few years to dethrone the king.

RC4 was exactly the best supercross rider when he went to the premier class. Rookie season people wrote him off.
