I actually really enjoyed the track on Sunday. It was technical with traction in every corner because the dirt had setup nicely.

Well shit, I live in San Jose and work in San Mateo and it was just sprinkling and didn’t rain much. Good call on a better update for this weekend, see you at club next weekend then.

When you say "ride club" what/where are you referring to?  Thanks

Club Moto, small track about 60 mi east of San Francisco. In Livermore close to the National Ignition Facility where all the nuclear research is done.

Oh okay. Im working over in Merced (yeah, I know there ain't shit here) and tracks are scarce here. Hell last winter we were out here working in Santa Rosa. No moto scene out that way either.

I gotta pick better assignments. Lol

I live in Merced. La grange off road park is 30 minutes away, decent place for a half day ride.

Looks like most of the rain will be from 2-5PM, it’s gonna be drenching for a couple hours.

Best course of action would be to have early practice , cover up the track before the heavy pour, then take out the plastics right before the night show as it’s showing it’ll clear up around 5.

Might be able to salvage a decent night of racing if it doesn’t get too muddy

Today's forecast looks to line up worse with substantial rain all through the afternoon and night. Might be looking at a shortened night show.

Time to move the first handful of rounds out of CA to AZ where they rightfully belong.   How many years does Dirt Wurx need to pull of miracles and have cancelations on muddy CA open stadiums?  What amount of money has been lost.  Absolutely zero chance of a mudder in Glendale.  G1 sounds better than A1.  It's time.   Tongue

Anyone have an update on what the plans are ?

it would make sense to move the schedule back and start the races early. Cause it’s looking like it’ll be heavy downpour from 4-7PM.

this could be the biggest sx mud race in years. Projected to be around an inch of rain, the last big mud race at east rutherford last year was only 0.4 inches. Going back to San diego 2019, that was only about 0.67

Nah just need to keep out of nor-cal.

Go a1, Glendale, a2, San Diego then San Francisco. It will be about Feb 10 by then.

IMG 9089Over an inch of rain. The worst part is that right now it’s clear skies and sunny.

An option for it to not be a disaster is practice and qualifying 7AM-10AM and races 11AM-2PM.

It pissed it down all of yesterday and has been raining for days... inwas aquaplaning on the way in and way home from work.

With an atmospheric river, I wonder if they will reschedule? Didn't they do that at a round recently?

If I hear the term “atmospheric river” one more time I’m going to lose my shit. MSM must’ve gotten a special on that term as they’ve been using the crap out of it. Anything for clicks and drama I guess.

Being northwest types, I feel like I get some level headed, scientific, honest opinion from Cliff Mass vs the click bait never ending climate change narrative the msm gives us.

Should have had a Chicago round this weekend. Let's see how the best in the world handle below yep zero temperatures and frozen solid dirt.

Haven't been to SF since 1983. My son is almost done with a 2 year program and we haven't visited yet. This round was a good opportunity to visit. Dammit Jim. It's gonna be cold and wet. He's a 5 minute walk from the stadium. We are across the street. I hope we have a big TV in the room, LOL!Screen Shot 2024-01-11 at 9.05.59 PM
