First time in recent memory that I feel like no matter the outcome this weekend, I can't see many factors being overly shocking.
- Eli repeats his A1 2023 effort? Of course, he's Eli Tomac. Eli folds to 10th, doesn't look comfortable? Of course, he's coming off a major injury.
- Jett walks everyone, managing the race and winning with relative ease? Of course, the hype was real. Jett marches through everyone to win? Of course, we've seen it before. Jett gets nervous and floats around the top 10? Uncharacteristic, but not a massive shock.
- Chase truly connects with the KTM and takes A1? Chase struggles with set up and the whoops (per rumours)? Both not unforeseen.
The same scenarios can be said for all of the top guys.
So, what potential outcomes do we not see coming? Prado "shock" podium? A top prospect dropping anchor/severely under performing and vice versa for a mid-pack guy over performing? First turn yard sale and everyone starts the season picking their bikes up off the ground? A top guy having a Jordon Smith Detroit night and missing the main? Vince Friese rides normally and safely and somehow doesn't piss anyone off? I daren't mention injuries, as unfortunately even that has become less shocking.
Too pumped for this weekend and for the season to start!
Brian had the signs changed on The George Washington bridge . To Major Deegan. Is the H moving up to a 450 already ?
Barcia wins
I think you could add Prado to the Eli/Jett/Chase section. If he comes out and podiums; of course, he's Jorge freakin' Prado. If he comes out and goes top 10; of course, it's his first professional SX. He'll come out swinging when he's in the US full time.
Julien Beaumer will be a very positive surprise. He looks rlly good.

An unforseen outcome that would be awesome?
No crashes! Everyone leaves healthy!
Jett wins, and vitards claim it was a weak field!
A Christian Craig win.
Idk I was there in 2013 when Millsaps won, would be like if Craig won
Beat me to it!
Mookie wins and 20,000 fans storm the podium!
Or he loses and uses the never raced 450 sx excuse.
So the whole 450 rookie thing doesn't exist for a 20 year old? I see Rookie mistakes aren't allowed for Jett.
sheeesh... Thats some High expectations to win from every one and a lot of people praying on his downfall...
I'm curious, Who was the last rider to enter 450's SX and was expected to only win?
I remember a guy called James Stewart in 05 who had the same pressure. Lucky for Jett, he isn't a generational talent tho.
It was a response to the other comment ,he was down playing results from the outdoor season, two different series. Cant have it both ways. Deegans rookie year he caught some heat, but i guess he cant use the rookie. Excuse. The vital double standards.
I think Malcom Stewart could be a dark horse.
We get it...you hate Jett.
Nah if he podiums his first one in this field, that would be wild haha, break the MX internet type shit
No but he ran from the competition on the west coast. I heard that he has been having issues with his speed. Compared to the other 250 riders at Star. Daddy Deegan panicked and switched him to the east coast. Duffe getting hurt played out perfectly for them to have an excuse to switch to east coast.
Pit Row
Unfortunately, I think we are at the beginning of a 5-6 yr dominance for 18. Going to be very boring for a long time.
Jett is great, but repeatedly saying publicly he is going for McGrath's record is so stupid. So was his bullshit on the podium after letting Ken Roczen past, and disrespectful.
Not at all, why would i. Super good guy, talented. Etc. We get it,you need to defend a total stranger on the internet, you just made my point.
A Ferrandis win. Dude was 4th at A1 last year on a bike he hated.
If this was outdoors...I believe Jett has everyone covered...but it's SX...a horse of a different color.
I don't think there's ever been a perfect SX season...by anyone (correct me if I'm wrong)...that tells me that "luck" plays a bigger part than MX.
Probably why SX is popular in a different way than outdoors...you just never know.
Webb rides around in 10th place for the first half of the main, then motors through the field, taking the win
Kenny wins, would be awesome but I would expect it comes at a later race if at all.
The way the Jett huggers talk, you'd think he's never going to lose another race ever in the rest of his career...so childish. Stewart had a lot of hype at the time, but advancement in technology and the media at everyone's fingertips have been overhyping Jett to the point where I would rather pay to not hear about him this much. Just like a ad-free subscription. He's going to lose races, its beyond ignorant to think he can never lose. This season is going to be good. Dungey in 2010 was the last rider who went to the 450 class and had nearly zero problems his first season. And we haven't seen that success since Chad Reed in 2003, then McGrath in '93 before that.
Kenny has as good a shot as anyone. He’s definitely got the talent, no lingering injuries and he’s on a bike with as much setup knowledge as the rest of the bikes combined, so no “chasing settings” issues.
*pause*
Craig wins, cry’s about how hard his life is on the podium
Jorge Prado holeshots the race, gaps the field by 15 seconds and takes the Checkered flag, then he denounces America and claims AMA riders are not as fast and inferior to MXGP riders, so goes back to Spain to prepare for another World Championship title.
