RV2 and RD5 won all 450 titles from 11-17. After that there have been 4 different guys to win  those 6 opportunities, Webb having 2 of them. Webb has won it 2 of his 7 attempts, meaning he wins the 450sx title 29% of the time he attempts it. If you wanted to get more detailed, he didn’t get to finish  18 or 23. Meaning he has won the title 2 of the 5 completed 450sx seasons or a 40% champion average.

I’m not a Webb die hard. But to say it’s over for him is bananas.

And no he had never been the fastest guy out there, he wins the same way RD5 did it.

Let's go easy on the Webb vs RD comparison as their careers could not be further apart. RD's consistency AND outright speed, especially outdoors beats Webb all day, not to mention wins and titles.  RD might not have been the outright fastest all the time, but her was certainly the fastest often. And always fit as a fiddle.

For everyone bagging on Webb being fat, I'm not going to spill all the beans I'm pretty sure he has some sort of thyroid issue that's not allowing some of his weight to come off, making him appear out of shape.   So I'll agree it appears he's out of shape, but the reality is his fitness is there and he's actually in shape.  I hope he gets it sorted out.  I'm not writing him off as I think he'll get better with the new bike as the season progresses.

Keeps winning? He didn’t win a single race last year in SX that Chase or Eli didn’t crash in. A total of 2 wins. Webb looked awful in SMX. He’s been riding and training with STAR team every day. The Lawrence brothers dropped him 13 seconds in 10 minutes. If it had been a 20 min main he would have been 25-30 seconds behind. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

You’ve gone out of your way to talk shit on Coop for the last 2-3 screen names you’ve have, of course you’re going to overlook the fact he was in contention to win the championship. Of course he’s not as fast, but there’s more to winning races and championships and Coop is the perfect example of it. 2x 450 champ. Don’t forget it. I know it burns you.

Again, Coop was only in contention due to Chase Crashing at almost every round and Eli crashing at round 4 or 5 last year. The ONLY reason. It wasn’t because he was super fast. And you are right. That last two seasons before this one I said he wouldn’t win another one. Eli won in 2022, Chase 2023 and I will guarantee you Webb will finish 5th or worse in 2024. He’s 5 races in on the YZ and hasn’t been anywhere NEAR the front.

you call him Coop like he's your bud, but all you do is tear him down.  what have you done with your moto career?

LMAO!  Jett has ZERO 450SX wins!

I didn’t say he was going to, I said he’s in a good position to do it.

He will be in a 'position ' to when he has at least  60 450SX wins under his belt.

I can't believe this thread is still a thing.  The last time we saw him on a supercross track before his injury (literally a few months ago) he was literally in contention for the title.  That same title where Tomac ended up getting injured and Cooper likely would have been our champion.  Go ahead and look at the offseason races that have almost never ends up being what we see come A1.

I love to read threads around here about how "fat" and washed up a rider is...when nobody on the thread could possibly stay on the same lap with the "fat" rider on his absolute worst day. Freaking incredible...but then, this is Vital.

It's all so true. Best days, indeed.

Webb will forever pine for a simple day of early innocence, an innocence that has been replaced only with a granite cynicism that no accomplishment, no wealth, no adulation can penetrate.

Numbly, he plods towards death's inevitable grip.

As fate unwinds to its predestined conclusion, an aged Cooper Webb can be found seated in his luxurious estate surrounded by hundreds of meaningless trophies. Perhaps they were once a source of pride. Now they are dusty clutter.

Equal parts longing and relief can be heard in his voice as he quietly whispers a single final word, the one word which bears the existential encumbrance of a lifetime... "P-Dub."

Lame argument. Professional athletes are put on display to be praised AND critiqued by all.

I think Webb will be fine in 6 weeks, but right now he doesn't look right. Also, by nature of how old he is and how long he's been around, his best days probably ARE behind him. However, that doesn't mean he doesn't have some wins or maybe even another championship left in him.

I heard Webb just broke the news of his thyroid issue in one of his interviews yesterday.  Glad he was able to get it sorted out.

I stated at one point that Webb and Roczen’s days of winning AMA Supercross have sailed.

let me have it boys… lol

I like both the dude’s. It’s awesome to see Webb in this form, he looks better than ever.

Maybe Roczen will prove me wrong next week!

Jett is in a better position to beat MC’s record than anyone for a long time.  Aside from Chase all his current competitors are near or over thirty and won’t be around, or at least competitive, in two years.

Deegan is the only obvious 250 guy that may have something for him but he’s got another 2-3 years on 250’s.
