I'm a bit surprised that nobody (unless I missed it) is saying anything about the pass Jett Lawrence put on his brother Hunter at the Paris SX. No, it wasn't brutal...but Jett could've easily passed Hunter without running him so high that he hit the dirt.
I know they're brothers...but even so, it wasn't a great look for Jettson. If I was Hunter...I'd remember that and give little bro a "tap" at A1.
I agree it wasn't a dirty pass but it was definitely more than what was required. You can tell it bothered Jett because as soon as got off the track he was immediately explaining himself to Hunter.
You can see that Jett's rear end came up and he was not able to brake in time to stop his momentum. The last whoop tossed his back end high. He was hard on the front brake to try to stop but could not. He did not mean to and that is exactly what he explained to Hunter and why Jett was upset.
Which Paris pass?
Hunter pass #1?
Hunter in the dirt pass?

Just wait until he tries that with Eli, Barcia, Webb, etc..

Yeah Jett definitely wont be making any friends if he thinks he's going to get away with that kind of racing. Anderson and Barcia will put him on the ground just for a 450 welcoming ceremony.

Love how people are labeling Jett as a dirty rider for a complete accident. He raced with Jason Anderson all summer, and Bam Bam during the Supermotocross rounds, did you see any dirty riding?

I think he was a little over enthusiastic about passing his brother and over cooked it going into that corner. He was going to pass him anyway in a lap.
You lot get more worked up over the pass than Jett and Hunter themselves. It was clearly a mistake and Jett was gutted over it. What a place this forum is…

I think the pass on Hunter was a mistake, plain and simple.
I Guess americans are too used to the reality TV stuff, it all has to be a drama..... Lawrence Bros are a team, they have been a team for life....Jett is a product of hunters work.....is that too dificulte to understand ????

We did a cone pass exersize for yrs where they did this to each other most lessons, there pretty use to it, Think Jet still owes Hunter a few

They were racing closely, Jett tried to pass but messed up an was upset at himself, sh. happens, no big deal. So far there is no rumor Hunter wants to change his family name
The only thing that surprises me about this thread is that it took this long to materialize.
The fact that Hunter wasn’t mad about it and vital has an issue about it is wild. Why’s this even a topic if the guy that got taken down isn’t mad? Good grief
None of those guys finished anywhere close to Jett in those races.
You can tell most of the guys on this forum didnt race in the 90's. Of course most of them werent born yet in the 90's. #GenX
Hunter talks about it in the Vital interview and did not seem upset at all. He said Jett told him the last bit of the whoops kicked him.

now think about all those years that the hole family got on hunters gains when they were in europe, Jett was a kid, it was all on Hunter.......do you think Jett has forgotten that ????

Right? I mean, we live on different sides of the country, but there's about a 1% chance I took you out or you took me out in some race or another back in 1997.
I am convinced all the Jett hate is just butt hurt American fans who cannot handle anyone but Americans winning and their constant criticism and complaining is just bitterness which they want to project onto both Jett and Hunter. I find it hilarious that they seem so concerned for Hunter but in there next breath a lot of what I am reading is that Hunter won’t crack the top 5 next year in SX I think he is going to surprise a lot of people.
People always say shit like this and every time its a useless comment. People have been riding aggressively since racing was invented, there was nothing special about the 90s. You guys make it sound like people were throwing haymakers left and right, on and off the track and that wasn't happening. People just talk more about it now because of the internet.
