He can just go out and ride without all the attention. Going on podcasts talking about your comeback is what brought all the attention. Do you think he hasn’t ridden a dirtbike in the last 10 years or something? Do you think he just started riding again a month or two ago when all the attention started?

You are right but perhaps that is exactly what this is, and why I wish him well. Exit the limelight cause it’s not what he wants from riding. That’s something that deserves to be respected.

 And I am/was a fan of J-Law.

I don't wish no bad things on anybody, just don't see how he can sustain his future.

Hate the fucking kid. But has so much talent and honestly loves to ride a dirt bike more than anyone I’ve ever met. And Scott always was only one call away for money and really helped him out. But jay is a piece of shit and takes advantage of anyone and everyone he can just trying to get by. Idk his financial situation but I know he is kinda like me and could just live in his rv for the rest of his life around no one and enjoy his bike and shred everyday. Still a piece of shit but just is Moto to the core. More talent than he knows what to do with but an absolute piece of shit.

JLaw's return for all his internet fans went a lot like this:

This was always my take on him. Super talented but maybe not brought up correctly? The two Ryan’s arguably had less natural talent, but I think their upbringing (how they were taught to behave off the track) led to a more desired outcome for the both of them. I’m not sure how the dude was raised, but I could venture a guess. See quite a few of them at the local races. Fast as hell but awful human beings.

Phoenix has gotten more publicity with Jlaw this autumn than they have gotten in the whole year. Don't know what they were expecting if this is true. Jlaw is a curiosity that draws a lot of attention, but you absolutely never know what you are getting out of him.

Bummer deal though, I doubt we will see Jlaw in arenacross after this

Couldn’t emphasis “not knowing what you’ll get out of him” enough. Dude is a very talented rider. Was hoping he would embrace this opportunity to stay in the industry. Even if the results were to not be there in AX at 36 years old, I feel like if he could’ve just put the work in and gelled with everyone on the team he could’ve been beneficial in a role such as a test rider for DF14’s bike. Once again, what could have been.

He wasn’t a good test rider at all back in his day, how in any world would he be a good test rider for a guy who actually is a very good test rider?

Plus, he wouldn’t be within 5 seconds a lap of Dylon.

That dude craved the limelight, he searched it out. The limelight was why he turned into the rebel he was.

He did a lot of really stupid things because everyone told him how cool and funny it was. It just got out of hand.

He "deserves" nothing other than the pro industry never to talk to him again.

He has committed to show up to a dozen events over the past 5 years and never follows through.  He came back, actually showed up, and raced an "industry" class in the woods, then Phoenix Honda gave him a shot including a place to live for ArenaCross and then he gets mad about who know what and disappears.  Lol.

Damn, between him, Izzi, and Stroupe, this is the closest we've seen to a comeback.

I'm wondering if I'm stuck in another dimension. Y'all really think JLAW is still relevant? Really? Dude hasn't been competitive since 2009 Daytona... That was 14 seasons ago boys. Wake up. Can't believe I have to bring this up.

Yeah I mean he got beat by a half dozen Schoolboy B 12-17 150cc riders in the GNCC he raced.

Even if he was somehow still fast hes 36 years old anyways, not like he was going to mount some new career at that age. Hell he is two years older than Filthy Phil.

When was that? He was incredibly fast back in the day. One of his last rides I remember seeing him in was a 2018 yz450 or something. Maybe earlier model.

The arenacross promoter is in the comments still expecting him to be there by the sounds of it, but now on a two stroke! Grinning

Grandfather raised him pretty much bringing him from race to race and he was a solid dude. His home life I know not enough to comment on though.

So, Hopper's saying he texted JLaw, and the rumors are false.  He's still racing for Phoenix.  It sounds like there was something going on, but it's resolved.  He's also invested in his own Arenacross track in NC.  Sounds like a bit of commitment to me.

From Weege in Racerhead:

Meanwhile, we’ve also heard that Jason Lawrence’s experiment with Phoenix Honda is already over. At least for now. I even heard he started talking to other teams about AMA Arenacross deals, but he also might want to come back to Phoenix. As always with J-Law, there are tons of different stories, but as of now we can turn off the “Jason Lawrence will be racing Arenacross for Phoenix Honda” rumors. For now.

The track in his IG is a waste of $$ and looks like a pit bike track, but Ok.  5 to 1 he doesn't show up.

Who cares about this dude? He couldn't even maintain his focus on the camera during that interview. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still battling some demons.

Noticed that too. His eyes were all over the place. I don’t think he was high at all…but it sure made me wonder.
