Have not seen a whole lot going on seems a bit quiet considering race next week thoughts?
Anyone think with chaos around the world this might be cancelled ?
I haven’t had any thoughts about it, frankly.
No
They’ve cancelled races for a lot less.

Not a far fetched thought...
F1 folks are already thinking about their race a month from now.

I would doubt though the WSX Abu Dhabi event is cancelled due to the Israel / Hamas conflict spilling over into the UAE and Abu Dhabi. But, the conflict could be used as a cover to cancel the event if interest is low...
Note: I was in Doha, Qatar for their F1 race 2 1/2 weeks ago. Hamas started their actions I think on Friday of race weekend. Nothing changed at the track or in Doha that I could see. But again it was right at the start of hostilities.
Bringing supercross to a place it’s never been is a great thing.
But will it attract Arabs to buy a bike and start riding? Send them all the electric bikes to get them started!!!!!!
zzzzz
I will watch it.
I'm thinking about it right now
It looks like I'm potentially going and I'm VERY interested to observe the changes/improvements since Birmingham.
I expect some significant and noteworthy changes!
You got inside info on changes to expect?
Getting better?
I have a feeling it's an attainable goal.
FYI, on the demographics of Abu Dhabi. The same holds true for Qatar, Dubai. So these folks would be a large part of the buying population. Source: ChatGPT
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), had a diverse population (~2.9 million people) with a significant expatriate or expat community. Please note that population figures can change over time due to various factors, including government policies and economic conditions.
At that time, the population breakdown in Abu Dhabi was roughly as follows:
Natives (Emiratis): Emiratis make up a relatively small percentage of the total population, estimated to be around 11-12% of the population. The UAE government has implemented various policies to encourage Emiratis to play a more active role in the country's workforce and economy.
Expatriates: Expatriates or non-nationals make up the majority of Abu Dhabi's population, with the vast majority being foreign workers. Expatriates come from a wide range of countries and are employed in various industries, including construction, finance, healthcare, education, and more. The expatriate population is estimated to be around 88-89% of the total population.
Need to fix the thread title.
it's "wSX" As in wannabe-SX....
Looking forward to it, any track layout yet? Hopefully it's a full SX track and not arena cross. It's a long gap to A1, so will enjoy it regardless of how bad it is.
I said Arabs, not Americans working there!!!!! But thanks for the education!!!!!
Yup, huuuuuge stadium. 13000 seats.

Why so negative - bet the kids goi g to watch will love it
They already ride scooters.
Im just stoked someone has made a future for guys like Deano who are still elite riders, but dont get much love in the main disney on ice show.
All the riders have benefited since Baileys arrival, its hard to understand why some of you smooth brains don't realize this
Yeah he's been able to deliver on all his promises....WSX's original goal wasn't to extend the careers of riders careers that were coming to a close....they were going to be the premier SX series in the world with the worlds best SX riders....and we can see how that has worked out for them....he has now eaten a lot of well deserved humble pie and has had to settle to be a second rate fall series...it's kinda sad really...
It’s a race, it’s got some great riders.
Why wouldn’t I watch it?
Someone should sign Kyle Peters up now.
I watched Endurocross tonight. It was technical and exciting.
I will watch Arenacross the next few weekends too.
If you tell me Roczen, Wilson, Brayton, Savatgy, Friese are lining up to race around cones in a parking lot I'm tuning in too. Maybe it's because our outdoor riding is pretty much over this year. Is it the pinnacle of the sport? Nah, but it sure beats no racing. I don't get the negativity.
Twitter has the track map and it looks great. Excited to watch this one
Looks to be a similar size and layout as the opening Aus SX round with the addition of the out of arena section. If anything should make for some close racing unless Kenny gets the holeshot.
With the help of politically correct marketing positivity, "small track" translates into "close racing".
Thanks, they pushed the walls.
