Privateering it probably, or take some time off. But he’s got 2 months so who knows. Maybe he could get an MX only contract. Unfortunately, he’s kind of getting forgotten in the whole mix of things.

It's remarkable to me...  A true title contender, still with no confirmed ride.

Bad timing. Also just not enough rides to accommodate how many talented riders there are in 450 class.

I guess the complaining, blaming the bike, and overall bad attitude only take you so far.

I concur...  Based on their original budgets.  I think I'm saying, it's remarkable that nobody has figured out how to increase the budget for another bike for a guy that is a true title contender.  A 1 bike team to 2 or a 2 bike team to 3...  It seems Suzuki is the only one that has made the effort, at least that we know about.

The series is better with DF on the line racing...

I don’t even know how these teams afford racing.

I think you might be on to something.  He even had a hard time getting along with his French riding coach at times and DV may be considered a opinionated person at times.  So yes people may be done with him when he hasn't done anything lately.  By the way I enjoy listening to both Dylan and DV but not sure I would want to put up with them daily.

Him and Kenny would make good teammates.

SX he's not a top 5-7 guy, maybe asking for too much money?

this sport is so small you can only be an Ahole to so many people before everyone is done with ya. And looks like that has come true for the french man

I'm seriously surprised Kawi couldn't make a deal happen. I'd give half of AC's salary to DF to get what he's probably asking for. All teams are really missing an opportunity with DF right now. I don't get it. Hopefully the Factory Connection Honda deal is a real thing and comes together in time for the Paris SX.

Why adjust ac contract, he is already signed in.   Maybe dylan could lower his price tag and a incentive win ,results clause.

Curious to hear where you heard DV and Dylan didn't get along. DV has never said that.

That would leave about 6-7 factory guys w/o a ride as well.

Pole

I remember not liking Jean Michel Bayle as a kid. When Pichon came over years later I wasn’t a huge fan but I didn’t dislike him either, then I grew to like him. When Roncada came over years after that, I liked him but he was also cool to me at the races. DV was amazing on a bike but wasn’t as friendly in person so I was mixed. During all those years interacting with French riders, I wondered why I didn’t like Bayle when I was younger.
Fast forward..At the last outdoor race of the year at Ironman, I went and found Dylan at his motorhome late in the day and told him thanks for coming to America and that not all Americans hate him. He laughed and shrugged his shoulders.
I also said congrats on the championships, he mentioned, “four” and that I hope he has a great career wherever he ends up.
I loved watching him race here and he was always friendly to me so I’m sure that had an effect on me, but I still wonder where the hate comes from.
These guys are here to do a job at the highest level and provide for their families and themselves. Where you guys come up with this crap, and then why you type it, is totally baffling to me.

I agree, he is an animal outdoors ,  fit and healthy is one of the few that can run with Jett.

Sponsors don’t want anything to do with a guy that has to wash his greasy hair in a solvent tank.  He needs to hit sport clips with Masterpool for a little trim.

You are right he never said they didn't get along.  But he did say at one point he didn't know if he was his coach still or not.  He also said something to the effect that he wasn't a very good communicator.  I stand corrected and don't want to put words in DV's mouth.  But IMO he alluded to rough sea's

DV went prepping his kid for NCAA D3 basketball, while DF was hurt. To me it always looked like DV didn't stay in touch with his rider, (his boss in some way) to hear how his health and rehabilitation was going, if making schedules was already possible or not...

I know DV is very popular here but he threw Pourcel under the bus too, because MotoConcepts was DV his employer. But little later everyone including him accepted that the YZ450 was rubbish because James Stewart and others started saying the same. Also DV and Cristian Craig didn't last long.

But to be honest it baffles me that French and Euro-riders always get labeled as crybabies, especially the ones who win championships. Because your own riders such as Webb and also Sexton weren't they saying the same about their bikes? The double moral in that kind of stories is a little sickening. If Dylan clicks with his future bike, he can fight for podiums in Supercross and win the championship in Motocross. Dylan is bye the way already 7 years in the USA and only rode for one team and that is Star Yamaha, probably because he is a real pain in the ass to work with...
