Jo is only 21, it’ll be his fifth and six seasons as a professional, and Honda HRC just moved both Lawrences up. They need Jo in that class for at least two years. He hasn’t won a title and Honda has two more years on this 250 platform and the investement they’ve made into it.

Yeah, this timeline works for everyone involved. Can't wait to watch him compete with the PC and Star riders!

man its so good to see Jo on HRC. Such a power house team now.

the vibe around that tent is going to be so awesome. think He is going to have an extreme amount of confidence and support on that team.

question the.. is HRC the youngest factory team in the pits? Hunter is the oldest rider and he isn't even 25?

I’ll miss seeing him in the PC tent, but he’s definitely my favorite to win. Overall, just an awesome kid.

I wish we could stop with this Honda HRC thing.  My grammar OCD kicks in every time I see it.

Honda Honda Racing Corporation?

Shouldn’t put Honda before the HRC.

HRC Honda is (slightly) better.

Honda Racing Corporation is what it’s supposed to be.  Just HRC.

Honda RC would be OK.

Sorry, back on topic…

Awesome for Jo! Mirtl needs to work on getting Jo a more specialized number font like he did for the Lawrence bros.

Nothing about this is Japanese. Just a stereotypical asian font.

Do the factory Honda HRC bikes come with VIN numbers?

I decided to look it up, and apparently this is called RAS syndrome – where the RAS stands for redundant acronym syndrome. English can be pretty stupid sometimes...

Star Racing Monster Energy Yamaha, Monster Energy Kawasaki, Red Bull KTM, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna, TLD Gas Gas… but Honda HRC.🤦

I’m a Honda guy but damn, that’s ass backwards IMO.

Jo will debut his 250 HRC bike at the Paris SX on Nov18/19. He'll face the likes of local hero Tom Vialle, last year's Prince of Paris Matt Moss (on a Bud Kawasaki), former Princes Jace Owen (on a GSM Yamaha) and Brian Hsu (Fantic), Cullin Park (on a SR Honda) and the top French riders of the class (Maxime Desprey, Yannis Irsuti, etc). Should be a good test for Jo.

I bet that came from the US military, only they could make an acronym for the redundant use of acronyms 😂 Must be a separate word for the extremely excessive use of acronyms.

The HRC thing is a bit trippy, but in MotoGP and stuff when they say HRC Honda it doesn't sound so weird as HRC is the team and Honda is the bike, like Movistar Yamaha (mad outdated, but I haven't watched in years).

Honda HRC sounds way weirder and seems to be the SX/MX way of saying it 🤷 We don't say Kawasaki Pro Circuit, we say Pro Circuit Kawasaki.

Pretty stoked about this tbh.

What was his training situation prior to this?  And will he now be training with the Hunters?  Jo could be in prime position to nail down the 2024 CS.

He was training with Nick Wey for the past couple of years. I can't remember reading if that will continue or if he'll move to Florida and train with the Lawrences & Hymas, though.

I think he’s going to continue training with Nick.

i rlly want someone to ask Jo why he made the switch. Imo, the kawi seems like it had a lot more power than the honda based on last season, so it doesn't make sense from a racing perspective. Im sure the money is better with him having fox and monster as personal sponsors now, but im sure the best way to make money is championship bonuses -- and that's more likley on a kawi.

Engine wise the Kawi looked better than the Honda at the back end of the season, but not at the start.

Remember PC found a big engine improvement that was instantly noticeable, meanwhile it appeared they had to back off the tune on Hunter’s bike after the blowup. I’m sure HRC will sort that out for Jo before A1.

Jo’s very good at being diplomatic. Sounded like he was deliberately careful not to say anything negative about the Kawi or PC. Who wouldn’t want him on their team.

Kawasaki hasn't won a 250 title since 2019 outdoors with Cianciarulo, and they haven't won a 250 Regional SX title since 2017 with Justin Hill.

Jo will be fine at Honda.

Gear money and being the only rider the team is focused on, Chance is still on the mend so Jo gets all the attention. Plus a longer leash on changes vs PC.

Lookin good.  I still don’t get why they practice on a perfect track with no ruts and perfect moisture in it.  Unless you do the GoPro track preview for the broadcast, and not even then, you will not see a track in that good of condition…or even close.  But Jo is looking good.  I hope this is his year on 250s.
