I watched the first two races but fell asleep before the open race.  Saw the results with Ferris in 33rd but I read somewhere he was running in 3/4 place before he crashed?  That’s encouraging if so.

Yeah he was on Craig and maybe looking to make a move hence why he was landing in a spot no one else had landed in.. So on the pace

The Frogs will be hard to beat but we’re in with a chance if one of them doesn’t do well.

Late to the show cause we were racing today, but where's Finland gonna finish, fish-breath?

You mean the way he spanked the 2x "world champion" all year?

4 AM on the west coast for Race 1. But the show starts with the 125 race in 4 and a half hours from now.

No need to throw a dart at Jett...  If you watched that moto, you know.  It was a 20 minute race, a 30 and he wins it with a 5 second lead.  Tomorrow we get to see Jett and Gajser and Febvre and Prado and Roczen go at it...  Add in Renaux in the last one too.

I wish I could type Tomac and Sexton in there...  But it wasn't meant to be.

Still a great time to be a moto fan.

Prado, the cross jumping king.

they used To put Jeff Emig in for This one for like 5 years in a row.

To be honest I feel JT does a great job, what other American could do better?

Really because if you don't count both guy's DNFs then they're exactly tied. Tom beat Deegan as many times as vice versa (outdoors that is).

if you watch MXGP , you should know in a qualifier most settle in top 5 or 6 and finish the race and dont bother much about a spot or 2 ..its just a start grid position ...1 or 3 wont make much of a different on raceday with 30 minutes time .. reason why only Vlaanderen made up a lot of positions , he had a terrible start

Not a chance Prado stays ahead of Jett.  And the qualifying position was up in the air in moto 1...  Prado would have tried.  Not to mention that now that points are paid in GP qualifiers, guys ride them with much more intensity than they used to.

I’m a Jett believer…but, Prado ain’t a joke. I’ve made the mistake in the past of under-rating the Euros. After several ass whooping on their turf…? I’ve learned my lesson.

Things I’ve noticed…

Our riders were 4th fastest, as a team, when all 3 riders scores are considered.
Quite a few US MX/SX series riders are at the MXoN representing many of the fastest countries…4 of the Top 6 teams.
Riders like Vialle, The Lawrences & Roczen…go back to Europe and get right back to CRUSHING IT…which is a reminder to NOT let yourself be fooled into under-estimating the Europeans and the MXGP regulars.

Not one ounce of disrespect for Prado.  My comment was related to that specific race only, looking at lap times and Jett's pace and closing rate.  I don't think Prado holds him off for another 10 minutes.

I sat with the ESP fans at MXoN in 2018...  Had a blast rooting for him with those nuts!!!

Prado is an incredible starter as we all know, but he just does not move up much if he does not start at the front.  IMO Jett could easily move from 5th to first on Sunday in a moto, I don't think Prado could do that.

Curious if Febvre will have a little more pace on Sunday?  Thought he would be pushing toward the front.  Wonder if he was holding back knowing he did not need to push the envelope on Saturday?

19th would not set world on fire but it was giving points to others that could have mattered.

I'm guessing you have not watched many MXGP races this year? Prado manages a lead as well as anybody and backs down the pace to minimize risk. Prado has a 12 second lead so lap times mean nothing with a few minutes left.

you lawrence fan boys are getting tough to tolerate

Too bad this thread has so many negative folks in it.

My bet, If any of you met one another at this event you would become best of buds.

”Curious if Febvre will have a little more pace on Sunday?  Thought he would be pushing toward the front.  Wonder if he was holding back knowing he did not need to push the envelope on Saturday?”

I wondered about that too as he was about to reel in both Roczen and Seewer mid-moto. Suddenly Jett was on him and just blew by and I think he was surprised when that happened, he didn’t even know Jett was there. To me it looked like he slowed down a bit after that because the gap was quite big after three more laps.

Ferrys crash looked scary. He’s lucky it didn’t ended worse.

Is there any videos of the crash that involved Coldenhoff and Gifting? The clip on MXTV only show the last few seconds when they’re hit the ground and that looked like a big one, both injured and out for todays races. I wonder what lead up to it, almost looked like they collided mid-air.

Yes, there must be a video somewhere, they showed the replay of the crash yesterday.

To me it looked like Seewer, Kenny and Febvre all had the same pace and it was just really tough to pass and a qualifying race isn't the place to take the risk. Jett was the only one who could slice n dice through the field..

Yes, it looked easy for Jett. Everybody seemed to have difficulties to pass but Jett made it quite simple, without being aggressive at all. He just went by.
He impressed me even if I had seen what he’d done the whole season. I’m looking forward to see what he’ll do in today’s races.
