Felds marketing team then approaches your sponsor with a variation of, "when that rider gets hurt, your logo on their shroud isn't getting any screen time. We can offer you much more exposure on the stadium banner/signage and jumbotron than you'll ever get on the side of one of those bikes." Chad Reed gets a lot of hate, but Two Two was legit. Biggest names in the sport were on the team and they were beating the factory guys on a privateer bike, 2012 he was arguably the fastest guy indoors and out until Chadapault & Houston (was it Houston where he crashed battling villlo?) Honda took notice and started giving factory parts, but it’s a cool story. Steve did a great article on Racer X about the team, awesome read.

Kicking stuff, breaking minor items etc when angry is still poor behaviour and if an employee/contractor did that in my workplace they’d be fronting up for a please explain. Ghost riding a bike into a pit area is escalating that to a different level and deserves an appropriately escalated response. Worse still if it was done publicly and (reportedly) nearly hit other people.

How is throwing your helmet any better? You think alpinestars would be ok with that? Also, does anyone know what ghost riding his bike actually meant? Sounds like some people think he had the entire team lined up like bowling pins and aimed the bike 3rd gear at them. I imagine him stepping off as he went under the tent (not that it’s ok to do that either).
