They already missed that opportunity.  The TM400 was released in 1971.  And doctors everywhere cheered!

But they do have an opportunity to release a 15th anniversary version of the same rehashed RMZ450 coming soon...

You just caused me to have nightmares tonight.  I had a 72 or 73 TM250.  At least a TM400 would run clean after it through you over the bars starting it.  I don’t recall anybody getting a TM250 to run clean.  One ugly smoke in pogo stick of a racing scooter.

We will have to disagree on the ugly part, but I agree it was slow!

if Suzuki did do a retro re-style, this would be my choice.

I prefer the 89/90 look. Same basic plastic but not as crazy with the colors. But then the 89/90 isn't far off from what they have now (minus silver rims)

Well, it may have been slow, but it was a rocketship compared to my 1991 KTM 250 MX.  That’s the only bike I regret buying.

Did any of you have one ? I bought my 92 that spring and only put an fmf pipe on it and Holeshot most of my +25 and plenty of 250A  motos that year.Lot's of guys couldn't believe it was a stock motor! Ya did have to know how to short shift it though!

My riding buddy at the time had one and it seemed like it accelarated very well out of corners.  He could just click through the gears.  Was happy to leave the KTM behind for a 93 Honda 250.

50 years ago the Suzuki was still a TM:

You have to wait until 2026 for the 50th anniversary of the RM:

I have 2 92”s… one with about 10hrs on it since new. The other is a race bike I built, they are not slow, they have great throttle response and a quick burst of power, not much top end over rev stock. Properly jetted with a PC pipe &silencer gains some overrev… super quick handling…. Think Supercross bike… outdoors type tracks, the are a handful….carry on….IMG 3111 0.jpeg?VersionId=TNa

I didn’t own one myself, but my one of my roommates at the time did.  I rode it a fair bit and felt it was slow compared to the 93 CR 250 I was riding at the time.  But I still would take one to add to my collection.

Dang, those were such good bikes 91-92.

That would probably be one of the best anniversary graphic sets yet 👍

Nothing carved corners like those Suzuki's. I had a '90 250. It was my first 250 so I thought it was plenty fast. Until I rode a '93 CR250 lol

They should do a 50 year anniversary edition of the TM Cyclone, give it 80 hp, set the power maps to absolutely random at any moment, and make it handle like a trail 90 with a flat tire.

I had a 91 and it felt just like a big 125. Such good memories.

I loved this when I was a kid and I still do. I loved watching Guy Cooper rip on it. My buddy had one.

I had a 1990 RM250. I was a kid, 16ish. when the 1991-1992 super gaudy machines came out I was insane with jealousy. I painted my frame yellow (actually came out great) and obtained a 1991 seat, and  Tuf aqua blue plastic. man that was a good looking bike.

Let's be honest, though- the 1990 is the more dignified of the bunch, with its stunningly simple graphic treatment- just fantastic looking in hindsight. Same for 1989 which was slightly different.

1990 is the bike they should look at, if they ever get around to updating their sticks in the mud....

I loved the looks, but when I rode my buddies the seat felt like a couch. Lol

LOL, I feel like every 80’s or 90’s MX bike I ride had the seat made by Lazy Boy Furniture.

I should’ve included the ‘89 and ‘90 too. Excellent bikes.
