It smacks of tampering to only have his riders on the team. Obviously no Kawasaki rider is allowed on the team by their employer as long as Decoster manages, who knows what else goes on. I'm not saying Decoster is guilty of anything beyond keeping Kawasaki riders off the team, but it is certainly not above reproach, and is a suspicious, bad look. With Chase and his dad wanting to go and Honda saying they would support his effort, it's weird what went on there too, given who his future boss is. Guess we will never know and it is really nobodies business but the parties involved.

Sexton to KTM; not enough bike testing to race comfortably. Same with Webb. Tomac probably just got on a bike this week from injury. Kawi won't send riders, so JA21, AC9 and Hammaker are all out. Honda has no USA riders except Hymas. Does anyone ride Suzuki still? GasGas has Barcia, but he doesn't have the speed right now.

I'm glad Team USA is going, and I'm glad they've picked riders that want to be there and I really hope that this never happens again... It is a better event with Team USA competing
Probably be closer to November before Tomac gets on the bike.
I'm a huge Zacho fan, but no way is he better than a healthy Christian Craig. Craig is a better choice than all of the other fringe riders mentioned. Outdoors he can be really good, top 5 more than 50% of the time in 2022...
The concern and I get it... Is he going to be at full speed and 100% health by race day? I guess we'll watch and see.

According to ML Sextons contract ran though mxdn so bike time wouldnt be an issue. Webb has been on the bike since he left ktm, but sounds like star didnt want to go.
You would think Barcia has more time and speed on the bike than Craig who has been out since Glendale sx?
We will never know the real reasons I guess. For all we know the riders could just be tired and not motivated after a shit ton of racing.
So many fun story lines we can have about this... And still have reasonable expectations.
For example, RJ is undefeated in MX-2 going 1-1 in his only GP in 2017, beating Hunter Lawrence while doing it.
This team gives me Dodgeball vibes with Decoster being Patches O'Houlihan. A true underdog story.
