I think you need to expand upon this extremely vague statement.
Maybe he doesn't want to be distracted yet?
Him and his family seem very focused, but he is selling donuts on the side.
Just wondering why he doesn’t have any big outside sponsors. Just the same old industry staples….

Hope not. We all know the length of a motocross career, it’s time to cash in now while it’s hot
Young and just getting started. He is going to be a marketing dream.
I think he has the personality to transcend the sport and bring in some big outside sponsorships but the question is which one
Give it time.
Instagram:
Haiden Deegan 1.3 million followers
Jett 500k
Deegan will most likely grow the sport more than Jett.
This is making me question what big outside sponsors other elite pros brought in
McGrath - Bud Light
RC - Can't think of any
Stewart - Nike
Reed - CBD (lol)
Dungey - Nike/Target
Villopoto - Can't think of any
Tomac - Can't think of any
Reed has that janky cell phone carrier too 🤣
Jason Lawrence AMPM?
Zach Osborne - Lululemon
Ken Roczen - Breitling
Jeff Glass - Surf
Nice list. I believe nobody brought in a big outside sponsor in their rookie year in the premier class. Even though Villopoto and Tomac didn't in their careers I don't feel that detracts from their legacy, and it would be just fine if Jett didn't bring anyone in.
Logan Karnow - Only Fans
Calling Vegemite now.
Mazda
nah not trying to cut down on their legacy at all, just had me questioning if big in the sport actually brought in outside sponsors.
I think it's pretty unreasonable to think someone who just won their first premier championship to be bringing in outside sponsors when legends of the sport took awhile to get some, or didn't bring any at all.
Dungeys Target relationship is probably the biggest, but I believe there was already some ties between them to make it happen
Pit Row
I've been thinking the same thing.
You'd think a company like Red Bull would be all over him with his marketing potential and fan engagement.
And the tyre mob.
This is totally fact, unfortunately it shows the real demographic of Motocross, and why it will never be mainstream.
He’s not bringing in anything that is going to make much of a difference. Sorry but that is just a fantasy some people like to hope will happen if we can just get the right person. In my opinion, everyone clinging to that fantasy needs to let it go.
You want to bring money into this sport? Befriend a marketing VP at a Fortune 500 company, invite them out to a Supercross and hope they have a good time. Especially if they’re a company with a “boring” image that they want to try to spice up.
For all we know, 15 years from now there could be a chain of "Jettson Donuts" all across the US and down under....
He looks to be more interested in racking up titles at the moment for he and his family, so that their well being is secured.
RC had Makita
Some may argue Jett has only just started, and has only ONE premier title. Although no doubt there are more to come.
Interestingly Jetts persona sits between Dungey and Deegan.
I also don’t underhand why anyone thinks one rider (no matter who it is) is going to change things so drastically for the financial picture of our sport. Our sport actually has a much better track record of regular enthusiasts, mechanics, etc. going out and being successful outside of our sport. Oakley, Fox, JT, No Fear, Mechanix, etc and, most recently, Stacyc.
Me thinks we peaked with MC & Pastrami… RC & Stew kept it going somewhat but seems like been on the decline, as far as marketing goes since. Where are all the Aussie corporations?
Deegan is not the kind of rider/personality to bring a large outside sponsor into the sport
Jett is
But what if you're wrong?
Could be, but I doubt it. He doesn’t seem to have widespread appeal to the kind of people large corporate sponsors might market to. Think Dungey vs. JLaw
Post a reply to: Obviously Jett is very marketable, but….
