Chase is amazing. I honestly think that if Jett stayed in 250 moto for this season, then Chase would be the one undefeated and on the way to a perfect season. I do not think he would have pushed the pace that made him have that mid week crash earlier in the season, and I do think he would have made all motos since he said he does not have mono.
I really think he wouldn't have been pressured to push the pace, and when he backs it down he almost never makes mistakes but still the fastest out of everyone there. Chase's name could have been one of the greats in the undefeated conversation.
Shoulda coulda woulda
I'm a Chase fan (my #1 rider in the 450 class) but I'm sure he would throw moto win away (or two)
And if tomac didn't snap his Achilles. Chase wouldn't have a 450 title.
What’s the crazy part?
I think in OPs mind Chase would've had this locked up based on his speed, ignoring that you're not very fast while on the ground.
Whether Tomac or Jett is present he has a history of putting it on the ground.

Jeff Stanton probably would’ve won some more if Jeremy McGrath hadn’t come along.
But he is the '23 SX Champ
Personally I don’t think Chase is mentally strong enough to go undefeated. Eli and now Jett have the speed and to racecraft, mental game over him. He can get there and was probably the heir apparent to Eli before Jett moved up to 450. I do believe we are seeing a very special rider in Jett and it’s cool to see.
Let’s wait to see what happens at KTM.
1/2 season at least of Chase getting used to the bike and lots of testing to get where he is now.
Am I just getting older because I don’t get the sexton hype. He showed a lot of speed at the end of Eli’s reign but I feel like we’re in a lull of 450 talent. Jett is about to go on a McGrath like run because I don’t see anyone in the 250 class who will be able to beat him
I believe that fluke things like hitting neutral happen to chase far more often than they happen to other guys so you can only read so much into these things. But I also believe that if you have bad luck far more often than most then it probably isn't luck and is just who you are. Chase wrecks my brain on this because I'll fully believe both things apply to him 3 different times in the same race.
I have a feeling it's gonna be a bad move.
Luckily Jett isn't racing the 250 class as you state, because Haiden might be progressing past him as it looks like he slowly doing to Hunter in his "rookie" season
Nor would he have a SX title.
I almost feel like it’s “boring” watching chase vs Jett because they are both so smooth. More fun watching a battle when there is some aggression.
I agree, but I think “smooth” is the only way to be fast on a modern 450.
The intensity and speed are now at a level where “ragged and loose” are unlikely to cut it, for a whole race, let alone a season.
Injuries are a part of racing. No ifs, ands, buts, ect. You're either there or you aren't. No asterisks.
I don’t. If he’s going to Bakers Factory, I think he will thrive. Aldon and the KTM guys will extract the best out of him.
Pit Row
I feel like the bigger factor will be the bike and if/how it suits his riding style.
I’ve heard he is going to do his own thing, he won’t be at Bakers Factory. But to all the people saying it’s going to be a step back, just listen to his interviews. He isn’t as blunt as Dylan or Kenny, but he does not sound like he is very happy with the Honda. So I don’t think that he is all of the sudden regretting his choice to switch.
Chase very well may be the new Chad Reed. Extremely fast but just a hair off of Jett. Time will tell and I am looking forward to them battling in the years to come
I'm fairly sure that if Jett stayed down in the 250s then Ferrandis would be the points leader.
He was pushing Jett hard that second moto, Jett was making more mistakes than Chase was. I think if we can get a moto where Chase gets a start and can lead a lap with Jett behind where he can set the pace and make Jett pass him that will be awesome to see the outcome.
Like Southwick
You mean without Chase tipping over?
tuck the front wheel son
Apparently he isn't going to bakers.
So I think that will be the 1st issue.
2nd his dad Apparently puts his 2 cents in all the time. I don't think ktm like that. Rodger is the boss. Apparently js7 said to him its 100% him or his dad to coach him and that's why he left. Js said his dad kept getting in the way.
So I think there is a few things that sexton and ktm will have to iron out coz ktm will immediately blame sextons program just like they did with webb.
I admittedly haven’t watched much of Chase before this year.
I get the feeling from his interviews that he isn’t sure where to go with his setup and is searching for some small critical change. I’m wondering if because he’s now finding himself unable to get the win unlike last year, or whether it’s some outside influence like his dad.
And if the dog didn't stop to shit, he would have caught the rabbit.
Yes, but if Hannah didn't age, they all would be in "trouble".
( pun intended, if you get it).
