Desalle,Carmichael and Pastrana.
When I was a teenager Suzuki was Eric, George and the Hurricane. Style for dayz.
Interesting Suzuki fact I seem to remember for some reason- they won the 125 world title 10 years in a row 70s-80s.
De Coster made Suzuki great. And when he left they also left. De Coster IS SUZUKI.

In Oz, it was Gunter for sure.
Honestly for me maybe because I’m a euro but it’s Pichon Larry ward and Reynard thx for making me feel old now and I know RC rode Suzuki but when the goat only competes in the US as a euro you don’t see much action I only know RC from YouTube videos 😅
DeCoster.
I always think of Clement Desalle while thinking of the yellow bikes. He was a beast in the GP's while riding Suzuki's. Also, RC since I had one of the 06 RM250's.
Funny I can only remember him on Honda,
Guy cooper, Brian swink, Damon Huffman and Ezra lusk
The Man & Joel Robert are the original Suzuki guys.
Then Barnett and Howerton. Kent was seriously fast. How else could he beat Hannah consistently for a couple of years?
Pastrana,RC and Roczen in that order.
DeCoster, Bomber and Travis.

My initial post in this thread was "The Bomber".
...but he's not who popped into my head at first.
My childhood friend Brian was who I thought of first. Now, why would someone not famous for racing be who I thought of first you might ask.
Well, my friend wanted a dirt bike after hanging around me for so many years in middle school/high school. Why didn't he get one during those years? His parents were over-protective/smothering shits, to the point that it caused him confidence issues as a young man. We're talking notes on the mirror "people like me" kind of issues. When he finally moved out into the world and got a job, he could go out and buy his dirt bike and of course asked me to help him out. We located a fine specimen RM250 and I gave him some of my older gear.
His parents were beyond pissed at him. They were pissed at me and never spoke to me again. He was an adult now, fully capable of making adult decisions and understanding the risks. They offered to buy him a brand new car if he got rid of the motorcycle....he declined and kept riding. He wanted to ride so bad, he would "tow" the bike to our riding areas in the Santa Monica mountains. Picture this, an RM250 with the front wheel in the trunk of a 78 Chevy Nova, rear wheel on the ground. Yes, there were tie-downs used, God only knows how that worked. ...and God only knows how he never got pulled over for it. I wish I had a picture of that to share....but it's forever etched in my memory.
Brian was what you would call a goon rider without faking the goon-rider thing. He never got the style/technique down, but he rode for the pure love of it...as it should be. Here's the kicker, my mom nicknamed him "gooner" way back when we first started hanging out. He was always a goofy kid. Riding didn't last for him, he lost interest after a few years...having a girlfriend did him in.
Here's to living your life on YOUR terms.
